Sony has officially announced the new games coming to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus as part of the October 2025 update. New games are added to the Extra and Premium tiers of PlayStation Plus on a monthly basis, and are usually announced in the middle of the month. That was true for the new PS Plus Extra and Premium games for October 2025 as well, but fans knew about some of the games in advance.
Earlier this month, it was leaked that the Silent Hill 2 remake was coming to PS Plus Extra. And then, mere hours before Sony made its official announcement, even more new PS Plus Extra and Premium games leaked online. But now that the official announcement is out, PS Plus subscribers know exactly what to expect from the Tuesday, October 21 update.
PlayStation Plus subscribers have eight new games to look forward to on October 21, with seven of those titles coming to the Extra tier and one making its way to the Premium tier. PS Plus Extra subscribers can look forward to As Dusk Falls, Poppy Playtime: Chapter 1, Silent Hill 2, the Until Dawn remake, V Rising, Wizard with a Gun, and Yakuza: Like a Dragon on October 21. Premium subscribers, meanwhile, will be able to play Tekken 3 starting that day along with the Extra tier games.

The new PS Plus Extra games for October 2025 are clearly geared for the spooky season. Poppy Playtime, Silent Hill 2, and Until Dawn are all horror games, while V Rising is a horror-themed survival game with vampires. The same can’t be said for the PS Plus Premium lineup, but there are multiple Resident Evil games on that tier that subscribers can check out if they need something to play for October.
Horror has been the big theme of the PS Plus October 2025 updates. Earlier this month, PS Plus Essential was treated to Alan Wake 2, an award-winning survival-horror game. Essential is the lowest tier of the PS Plus subscription service, so all subscribers can add Alan Wake 2 to their digital libraries. In the meantime, fans can mark their calendars for October 29, as that’s when the November free games are most likely going to be announced.
