Realme has started teasing its next big launch, and it looks like the Realme Neo 8 is shaping up to be one of the brand’s more ambitious mid-premium phones.

Tipster Abhishek Yadav (@yabhishekhd) shared the latest teaser confirming the launch this month in China. Separately, many of the specs were first leaked by Digital Chat Station, who posted the details on Weibo long before Realme officially hinted at anything.
Big Battery and a Big Chip
The headline specs are pretty straightforward. According to the earlier leak from Digital Chat Station (via), the phone will run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, giving it proper flagship-level performance. Realme also seems to be pushing battery life further with an 8,000mAh silicon-carbon battery, which is a pretty dramatic jump from last year’s Neo 7.
Charging stays quick with 100W wired charging, so topping up that big battery shouldn’t take painfully long.
Display, Build, and Durability
The Neo 8 is expected to bring a 6.78-inch 1.5K LTPS OLED display, keeping the flat-panel look that Realme’s Neo series has leaned toward. You also get a metal frame and a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint scanner, something Realme usually saves for the higher end of its lineup.
Durability is also getting attention. The phone carries both IP68 and IP69 ratings, which should make it resistant to dust, splashes, and harsher environments.
Camera and Software
Based on leaked details, the Realme Neo 8 will feature a 50MP main rear camera. On the software side, the phone will ship with Android 16 layered with Realme UI 7.
How It Stacks Up Against the Neo 7
The Realme Neo 7 launched last year with a 7,000mAh battery and MediaTek’s Dimensity 9300+ chip. It also offered a 1.5K LTPO display, up to 1TB storage, and 80W fast charging.
The Neo 8 seems to take that base and refine it, mainly in two areas: a bigger battery and a Snapdragon chipset. With the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 and an 8,000mAh battery, the Neo 8 is very clearly positioned a level above the Neo 7 without jumping into full flagship territory.
