As players’ cities grow and they rank up their residents in Anno 117: Pax Romana, they will require a Sanctuary where they can devote themselves to the gods and gain Belief. Worshipping gods and gaining more Belief is a great way to improve production chains, city stats, and reduce costs.
Players can only worship one patron per island, and the amount of Belief that the population puts into them will increase their overall global effects. Therefore, gamers will want to pick deities that pair well with each island’s focus and production chains, so they can maximize how much they benefit from them in Anno 117: Pax Romana.
How Religion Works in Anno 117: Pax Romana
In Anno 117: Pax Romana, players must pick a deity for their residents to devote themselves to on a certain island. As Belief on the island rises, they will gain more Devotion to it and receive additional benefits based on the deity’s abilities. Players can change an island’s patron at any time, but this will reset residents’ Devotion to it.
As players settle on more islands, they will have the opportunity to dedicate themselves to other deities and take advantage of their effects as well. As deity Devotion goes up, they will receive global effects from that deity, meaning they will receive stats across their entire empire for a part of their population devoting themselves to a certain patron.
