ASUS Unveils ProArt P16 Laptop For Creators In India

ASUS has added a new machine to its ProArt creator lineup in India called the ProArt P16, aimed at users who work with visual content, heavier media projects, and AI-enabled creative tools. The device focuses on performance hardware, display accuracy, and workflow features for people who spend long hours inside production or editing software rather than general-purpose use.

Hardware Built Around AI and GPU Workloads

The ProArt P16 is equipped with the AMD Ryzen AI 9 HX 370 processor, which includes a built-in NPU for on-device AI tasks, along with configuration options that go up to an NVIDIA GeForce RTX 5090 Laptop GPU with 24GB GDDR7 VRAM. On paper, this combination is meant for workloads that blend CPU performance, GPU rendering, and AI-driven features, such as multi-layer video editing, VFX tools, or prompt-based asset generation.

The system supports up to 64GB LPDDR5X memory and 2TB PCIe storage, with an additional slot available for expansion.

Display And Creator-Centric Utilities

The laptop uses a 16-inch 4K OLED panel with a 16:10 aspect ratio, touchscreen support, stylus compatibility, wide-gamut colour coverage, and HDR capability. This type of panel is typically preferred for colour-critical work, whether that’s illustration, colour grading, or UI/UX design.

ASUS includes its Creator Hub software and an integrated DialPad control on the touchpad for parameter adjustments in supported apps. Users also get access to StoryCube and MuseTree, software tools that integrate AI for asset organisation and concept generation.

The ProArt P16 weighs 1.95kg, has a metal build, and follows the company’s internal durability testing. Connectivity includes USB4, HDMI 2.1, an SD Express 7.0 card slot, and support for Wi-Fi 7. The laptop carries a 90Wh battery, though real-world backup will vary depending on workload, especially for GPU-driven applications.
