Lava is getting ready to introduce the Agni 4, but instead of waiting for the usual launch-day reveal, it’s giving a small group of people early access at home.
This is part of its Demo@Home program, and the idea is pretty simple: instead of going to a store, the phone comes to you, and you get a proper hands-on session in your own space without any pressure to buy.

How This Early Demo Works
Anyone interested can sign up, and Lava will shortlist applicants from the responses. If you’re selected, a company representative will visit your home and walk you through the device, explain features, and let you use it freely for the session. There’s no payment, no booking fee, and no commitment involved. It’s simply a chance to try the phone before it officially arrives on shelves.
Cities, Dates, And Registration Details
The Demo@Home program is currently limited to Delhi, Mumbai and Bengaluru.
Here’s the timeline:
- Registration window: November 15 to November 20
- Home demo dates: November 20 to November 24
Slots are limited, so only a portion of registered users will get picked. Those who are selected will receive schedule details directly from Lava.
Why Lava Is Trying This Format
Smartphone launches usually rely on online teasers, influencer videos, or quick retail demos. Lava’s trying something a little closer to how people test appliances or mattresses — slow, personal and real-world. The company probably wants deeper feedback rather than just first-impression hype, and it could help users make a more confident decision when the phone finally goes on sale.
This also aligns with the growing trend of “experience-first” tech adoption, where specs alone don’t drive purchase decisions.
