NVIDIA has unveiled the GeForce RTX 5060 Desktop Family, which incorporates the Blackwell RTX architecture and DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation. This new lineup, including the GeForce RTX 5060 Ti and GeForce RTX 5060, is designed to elevate gaming performance significantly. The company highlights that these GPUs are twice as fast as their predecessors, thanks to enhanced hardware and DLSS 4 features.
The Blackwell RTX architecture is tailored for neural rendering, optimising hardware for AI applications, neural shaders, ray tracing, and DLSS. NVIDIA’s engineers have developed new software features and SDKs for developers to fully utilise these capabilities. The DLSS 4 transformer AI model improves image quality and performance by being trained on high-resolution game captures.

DLSS 4 Enhancements
DLSS 4 enhances text clarity, reflection accuracy, and temporal stability while reducing shimmering and artifacts. NVIDIA states that enabling DLSS lowers PC input latency, making gameplay more responsive. The Multi Frame Generation technology in DLSS 4 can generate up to three additional frames per traditionally rendered frame, boosting frame rates by up to eight times when combined with other DLSS features.
According to NVIDIA, DLSS 4 is already available in over 100 games and applications, with new integrations being added weekly. This technology ensures sharp visuals through its transformer AI model while advanced Ray Tracing Cores deliver realistic lighting effects. Multi Frame Generation maximises frame rates, and NVIDIA Reflex reduces latency in over 130 games.
GeForce RTX 5060 Series
The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti offers improved image quality, smoother frame rates, and lower latency at 1440p max settings compared to native rendering in games like Hogwarts Legacy. NVIDIA reports that frame rates are doubled and latency reduced compared to the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti. In titles without Multi Frame Generation such as A Plague Tale: Requiem and Delta Force, performance improves by about 20% with reduced latency.
The GeForce RTX 5060 is set for a May 2025 release. It delivers over 100 FPS at 1080p in graphically intensive games and exceeds 300 FPS in competitive titles like Marvel Rivals. NVIDIA notes it doubles the performance of the GeForce RTX 4060 in games with DLSS 4 Multi Frame Generation.
Advanced Features
The GeForce RTX 5060 series includes advanced components such as Shader Cores, Tensor Cores, Ray Tracing Cores, and high-speed GDDR7 memory to enhance gaming performance further. These GPUs also enable efficient video encoding and decoding with improved quality compared to competing platforms. They support DisplayPort 2.1 UHBR20 for the latest high-resolution displays.

The GeForce RTX 5060 Ti is available in both 8GB and 16GB configurations starting at Rs.42,000 (USD $379) in India from April 16, 2025. Meanwhile, the GeForce RTX 5060 starts at Rs.33,000 (USD $299) in India from May 2025.
Laptops Featuring New Technology
NVIDIA has announced that laptops featuring the GeForce RTX 5060 will launch in May 2025 starting at $1,099. These laptops will incorporate all desktop innovations from major OEMs in designs as thin as just under fifteen millimetres while offering strong performance for gamers.
NVIDIA expects these graphics cards to be a significant upgrade for over fifty million users of older GPUs like the GTX1660 or RTX2060 by introducing ray tracing benefits alongside DLSS4 advantages.
