This article contains spoilers for the One Piece manga.
One Piece fans endured quite a difficult phase due to the frequent manga breaks lately, but the series is officially back with another incredible chapter, and it is safe to say that fans are absolutely delighted with what Oda has delivered. While breaks are difficult to get through, the manga content more than makes up for the wait, especially right now, as the God Valley Incident reaches its peak. In One Piece 1163, God Valley reached its climax, with Rocks D. Xebec being defeated by One Piece’s strongest ability, Domi Reversi.
This ability, used by Imu, is the most overpowered attack seen in the whole story so far, and not only does it defeat top-tier enemies, it turns them into immortal allies. This ability has no confirmed weakness yet, but the secret could lie in Luffy and Blackbeard’s Devil Fruit abilities.
Imu’s Domi Reversi Is the Most Overpowered One Piece Ability
- Imu’s Ability Turns Enemies Into Overpowered Allies
- It Works Even on the Strongest of Opponents
One Piece has many incredibly powerful characters, and quite a lot of them have showcased strong abilities befitting their stature, such as Kaido’s Kaen Hakke or Shanks’s Kamusari. That said, no other abilities can compare to One Piece’s true strongest power, Domi Reversi.
Domi Reversi is a power used by Imu, supposedly through their demonic Devil Fruit. This ability was first seen during the Elbaf arc when Imu used it to turn Dorry and Brogy into slave demons, and it has now been used again. In the God Valley flashback, it was used by Imu against the members of the Davy Clan, and later Rocks D. Xebec, one of One Piece’s top-tier fighters, himself.
Domi Reversi has proven to be the most overpowered one-shot ability that exists in One Piece. Even the likes of Rocks D. Xebec, who was stronger than even the Yonko, was not able to withstand it. This ability allows Imu to not only incapacitate their enemies but also turn them into invincible allies. How Domi Reversi works exactly remains a mystery. There might be conditions that have to be met for it to be activated, and fans might come to discover the truth very soon.
Luffy and Blackbeard’s Devil Fruits Might Be the Counter To Such A Power
- Luffy’s Power Is Limited Only by His Imagination
- Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi Can Cancel Out Devil Fruit Abilities
While Domi Reversi is insanely overpowered, it can’t be invincible. Rocks D. Xebec has mentioned that one needs two devil fruits to topple the World Government, and he was more than likely hinting at Luffy’s Hito Hito no Mi, Model: Nika, and Blackbeard’s Yami Yami no Mi. These two Devil Fruits might be the key against Imu’s Domi Reversi.
When I was a kid, I thought to myself: man I would love to draw a manga with the most hyped final stage! I wonder if I’m up to it! Now, we have only a tiny bit of Wano arc left, the preparations are almost done. Took me 25 years lol. That said, it’s fine if you start reading from this point on. Because from this point on…it’ll be… The ONE PIECE!! The mysteries of this world, I’ll be drawing all of them! It’ll be super interesting! Fasten your seatbelt! And please stay with me for a bit longer! — Eiichiro Oda, Author of One Piece, 2022
Luffy’s Devil Fruit is similar to Imu’s. Luffy also has magic-like abilities, and he can basically think anything into existence. Luffy might be able to use a good version of Domi Reversi and free its victims.
Blackbeard’s Devil Fruit is also the perfect counter to most Devil Fruits. Blackbeard’s darkness can absorb anything, and it probably can even cancel out Domi Reversi and reverse its effects. A team-up between Luffy and Blackbeard might be needed to take down Imu in the final saga.
One Piece’s next chapter will be out this week. As usual, One Piece is going to drop on Sunday. In Japan, One Piece drops at 12AM JST on Monday. However, the vast majority of international readers will see the chapter available on November 2. Fans can read the chapter for free on Manga Plus.
