    • Ford expanded its Power Promise program to Canada.
    • It includes a complimentary home charger and standard installation.
    • An eight-year or 100,000-mile warranty is also part of the campaign.

Ford is offering a free home charger and covering standard installation costs for Canadian buyers who want to get behind the wheel of a new Mustang Mach-E, F-150 Lightning or E-Transit. The offer is part of the Ford Power Promise program which debuted last year in the United States and has now been expanded into Canada after record EV sales.

The complimentary home charger and installation are bundled with the purchase or lease of the aforementioned EVs between February 1 and March 31, 2025, in all Canadian provinces except Quebec. For Quebec residents, Ford offers a discount on its home charger and standard installation bundle—$2,450 in Canadian currency ($1,700) plus tax, down from an estimated retail value of $3,600 ($2,500). That equals $1,700 and $2,500 in U.S. currency, respectfully. Moreover, those living in Quebec get a special finance offer that doesn’t require a trade-in.

No matter the province, all home charger installations must be handled through RocketEV, Ford’s certified installer. The cost of the standard installation is capped at $2,000 ($1,390 USD), but if the property isn’t suitable for a charging setup, Ford will transfer that value as a bonus towards the vehicle purchase. Eligible vehicles for the dealer include the 2024 or 2025 Ford F-150 Lightning, Mustang Mach-E and E-Transit.

The standard installation can be done at a residential property with a dedicated electrical meter. The charging hardware must be attached to the same structure as the main electrical panel. The wiring (up to 80 feet) is externally mounted and visible.

The included home charger is a Ford Charge Station Pro. It’s a Level 2 charger capable of delivering up to 80 amps, although most Ford’s EVs can only accept up to 48 amps. Once installed, the charger belongs to the customer, even if the vehicle is a lease deal.

Ford’s Power Promise campaign also includes non-stop live support for EV customers, including charging support, and access to the company’s BlueOval Charge Network which incorporates Tesla Superchargers. The high-voltage battery also gets a warranty of eight years or 100,000 miles.

“We want customers across Canada to feel confident they can choose the Ford vehicle they want to drive and the powertrain that’s right for them,” said Bev Goodman, president and CEO of Ford Canada. “The convenience of home charging helps make this possible, and we’re proud that Ford is leading the way.”

Last year, Ford of Canada had record EV sales with an increase of 66.1% over 2023.
