The little Saurian companion that Travelers obtained at the beginning of Natlan finally reached its last chapter in the Ancient Sacred Mountain of Genshin Impact. By completing the Frozen, Rekindling Land Quest and the follow-up quests, players will unlock the new map underneath the volcano in Atocpan, revealing an ancient civilization of dragons.
The map is colossal with multiple elevations, and aside from the usual treasure chests, Travelers can also collect Pyroculus in this area. Follow this guide to collect all 22 Pyroculus in Ancient Sacred Mountain before offering them to the Statue of the Seven in Natlan to get abundant of rewards in Genshin Impact.

Start the exploration by teleporting to the Sea of Shifting Sentience northeast waypoint and walk forward to the Qucusaur. Indwell the Saurian and use the Gaseous Phlogiston to fly to the northeast and get the Pyroculus in the middle of the circular rocks.

Next, go to the waypoint south of Sea of Shifting Sentience and jump down to the northwest to see a Pyroculus on top of the hot springs.

Return to the previous waypoint and glide to the east slowly to reach the Pyroculus floating on top of the Phlogiston pool.

Now, go to Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds far south waypoint and indwell a Tatankasaurus (or use Iansan and Varesa’s Skill) to charge against the Pulverite. The Pyroculus is inside the rock.

Then, use the waypoint in the middle of the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds and jump down off the island to the north. Glide back to the south to get the Pyroculus on top of the hill.

Return to the previous waypoint and head to the east to find a glowing block on the floor. Use a basic attack to break it and enter the area underneath to discover tons of Pulverite. Indwell a Tatankasaurus to break them all and discover another path to the bottom level. Get the treasure chest on top of the dragon, stay on top of it, and it will bring you to the top of the mountain, where you can get the next Pyroculus. Of course, climbing the mountain is also possible, but it will take a long time before you can reach the top.

Teleport to the waypoint in the middle of the Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds and head northeast to get the Pyroculus on top of a plant.

Now, go to Flame-Melding Ritual Grounds north waypoint and turn around to the northeast before climbing the mountain. Indwell a Tatankasaurus, break the Pulverite, and smash the cracked rocks on the edge to complete the puzzle and spawn a chest. After claiming the treasure chest, the platform you’re currently on will rise and bring you to the higher level of this area. Up there, break another Pulverite rock with a Tatankasaurus to get the Pyroculus inside it.

Teleport to Heart of Force Inversion teleport waypoint and glide to the southeast towards the waterfall Phlogiston. There is a Pyroculus in the middle of the waterfall, but some players may already have obtained it, as you will run into it during the In Search of a Hidden Heart Quest.

Return to the previous waypoint and climb the harden Phlogiston to the southwest for another Pyroculus in the middle.

Go to the Chamber of Deliberation and walk forward to the end of the room before climbing the pillar to the southwest. Halfway there, you will notice a hole in the wall. Follow the hole to another room and get the Pyroculus behind the Pulverite blocking the way.

Now, teleport to Esoteric Arrays north waypoint, and you will immediately see a Pyroculus in front of you. Use Geo Traveler’s Skill if you need a boost to reach the Pyroculus.

Continue gliding north to the end of the bridge and look southwest for a hole in the wall. Get inside it and approach the closed door so it will open and you can get the next Pyroculus.

Leave this hidden room to the northeast and help the Secret Source Servants remove the Abyssal corruption and charge the Secret Source Dragon’s part. Afterward, follow the servants so you can reach the Secret Source Dragon Idol and complete its body parts. A Pyroculus can be seen on its head.

Wait on top of the Secret Source Dragon Idol until it starts moving, and the dragon will lead you to the next Pyroculus.

Teleport to Heart of Force Inversion northeast waypoint and break the Pulverite on the southwest that is surrounded by Hilichurls to get the Pyroculus inside it.

Go to the Ruined Armament Workshop southwest waypoint, and you can see a Pyroculus right in front of you. Use a climbable Geo construct if you can’t reach it even by jumping (or use Citlali/Ororon’s special jumping ability).

Next, use the waypoint southeast of Ruined Armament Workshop and walk to the east for the next Pyroculus.

From the previous location, go to the tear in the ground on the south that leads you to the Heart of the Sacred Mountain. Keep going down until you see the Pyroculus.

Go back to the waypoint southeast of Ruined Armament Workshop and head north for the Pyroculus on top of the Pulverite.

Next, use the Pseudostar Pedestal north waypoint and complete the puzzle at the north, where you need to help the Secret Source Servant arrange the bodies of the Secret Source Dragon Idol. Once the dragon is activated, stay on top of it, and it will lead you to the next Pyroculus. The solution is to break all the Pulverites and breakable around them and defeat some enemies.

Warp to the Pseudostar Pedestal south waypoint and look to the east for a Secret Source Dragon part on the edge of the mountain. Stay on top of it for a second, and the next one will appear, so you can jump on and climb it. Keep doing this until the last block leads you to the upper level. Up there, walk to the east where you can see lots of Hilichurls and a movable platform. Indwell a Tatankasaurus and push the platform from the left side to reveal a crack in the wall with a Pyroculus inside it.
After collecting all the Pyroculus in version 5.5, consisting of Atocpan and Ancient Sacred Mountain, you will gain a total of 60 Pyroculus. By offering them all to the Statue of the Seven in Genshin Impact Natlan, the current level should be Level 8, with Pyroculus 30/38.
