NEW DELHI: 30th March 2025
Uno Minda is undergoing significant management restructuring, with Ravi Mehra, the current Deputy Managing Director, appointed as the new Managing Director.
In addition to this important appointment, the company, a leading Tier-1 supplier of proprietary automotive systems and solutions to OEMs in India, is separating the roles of Chairman and Managing Director.
Nirmal Kumar Minda, the current Managing Director, will assume the position of Executive Chairman. In his new role, he will focus on strategic direction, business oversight, mentoring the leadership team, and promoting employee development, all while working to achieve the group’s goal of establishing a sustainable organization.

Nirmal Kumar Minda, Executive Chairman of Uno Minda, commented on the restructuring initiative, saying, “This strategic realignment and the strengthening of our Board demonstrate Uno Minda’s commitment to strong corporate governance and the creation of a sustainable organization.” He also expressed confidence in Ravi Mehra’s leadership and the diverse backgrounds of the newly appointed Board members, saying, “We believe their contributions will be critical in propelling Uno Minda’s ongoing success.”
To broaden the board’s diversity and expertise, the company has announced the addition of four new members: Shekar Viswanathan, who joins as an independent director, has more than 40 years of diverse experience, having previously served as vice chairman and whole-time director of Toyota Kirloskar Motors Private Limited. Abhay Damle, a former Indian Revenue Service officer from the 1989 batch, has also joined as an independent director. He has held several key government positions, including Joint Secretary of the Ministry of Road Transport and Highways and Director of the Central Institute of Road Transport in Pune.
As part of the changes, Paridhi Minda and Pallak Minda have been appointed as non-executive directors. Both have been with the Uno Minda Group since 2001 and provide valuable insights into management and entrepreneurship.
