Mumbai April 22, 2025: Mahindra has made significant changes to its top management, including the appointment of R Velusamy, who is currently serving as President of Automotive Technology and Product Development, to the role of President of the Automotive Business (AB).
Veejay Nakra, previously the President of the Automotive Division, has now been appointed as President of the Farm Equipment Business (FEB).
Additionally, Hemant Sikka has transitioned from his former role as President of the Farm Equipment Sector (FES) to become the Managing Director and CEO of Mahindra Logistics (MLL).
The company has also announced that its current CEO, Ram Swaminathan, has chosen to resign to explore other professional opportunities.
In response to these changes, Dr. Anish Shah, Group CEO and Managing Director of M&M, expressed gratitude towards Ram for his contributions and extended best wishes to Hemant, Veejay, and Velusamy for their future endeavors. He emphasized that these leadership transitions will ensure that experienced and capable leaders are guiding the company’s key business sectors, which will facilitate substantial growth and enhance value for both customers and shareholders.
Regarding the reporting structure and overall business importance, Veejay Nakra will report to Rajesh Jejurikar, Executive Director of Farm & Auto, as will Velusamy, who has played a crucial role in the development and successful introduction of several flagship internal combustion engine products as well as Mahindra’s Electric Vehicle lineup.
