PUNE 5th July 2025: Tata Motors has commenced production of the all-new Harrier.ev, its most powerful and technologically advanced electric SUV yet, at its state-of-the-art Pune facility. Deliveries to customers will start later this month after the first unit left the assembly line on July 4.

The Harrier.ev, positioned as a high-end electric SUV designed for intelligence and performance, represents a significant turning point in Tata’s electric vehicle development. The model, which combines aggressive styling, state-of-the-art technology, and Tata’s new acti.ev+ architecture, is one of the most important EV rollouts in the Indian automotive market this year. It is supported by strong bookings and market anticipation.

The Harrier.ev, which is built on a new generation platform made especially for electrified mobility, is available with two drive configurations: rear wheel drive (RWD) and quad wheel drive (QWD), providing both urban and adventure-oriented buyers with flexibility. In terms of raw performance, the QWD variant stands out thanks to its dual-motor setup, which produces the highest torque and fastest acceleration ever seen in an Indian SUV.

Tata has embraced a striking visual identity in terms of design. Along with the unique STEALTH Edition, which is matte black with a darkened interior, the Harrier.ev will be offered in four eye-catching colours: Nainital Nocturne, Empowered Oxide, Pristine White, and Pure Grey. The SUV’s already impressive appearance is enhanced by this edition’s more aggressive, urban style.

The Harrier.ev’s cabin is equipped with a number of sophisticated, high-end features that improve the driving experience. Harman-powered Samsung Neo QLED display in the infotainment system provides clear images and easy-to-use controls. An immersive Dolby Atmos audio system, which is commonly found in luxury cars, is used to deliver sound. The SUV’s most notable feature is its ground-breaking 540° Surround View system, which improves safety and control in congested urban areas and off-road situations by removing blind spots, including those underneath the car.

The Harrier.ev is anticipated to further solidify Tata’s dominance in the EV market, especially in the high-end SUV class, with deliveries scheduled to start in July 2025. The company, which currently holds a dominant market share in India for electric passenger vehicles, is now pushing the boundaries of product sophistication and segment innovation.
