Billion Electric Mobility (BillionE), India’s pioneering E-Mobility-as-a-Service (eMaaS) platform and a leading provider of electric transportation solutions for commercial fleets, has announced that it has reached a major milestone with over 250 long-term electric truck contracts secured with enterprise clients across the country. This achievement reflects growing industry trust in BillionE’s integrated platform and ability to deliver zero-emission freight at scale.

The milestone includes deployment of medium, and heavy-duty electric trucks ranging from 12T to 55T GVW, across a diverse customer base spanning e-commerce, pharma, cement, copper, steel, FMCG, automotive, and global logistics. The vehicles are being rolled out in South, West, and North India, with key operations across Delhi, Jaipur, Ahmedabad, Indore, Nagpur, Mumbai, Pune, Goa, Bengaluru, Chennai, Hyderabad, Vijayawada, Visakhapatnam, Coimbatore, Kochi, and Trichy.

“Reaching the milestone of 250 long term EV truck contracts across India is more than a business achievement, it’s a signal that electric freight in India is inching towards a tipping point,” said Sanjeev Kulkarni, CEO, Billion Electric Mobility. “This shift from short pilot programs to long-term, operational fleets across regions reflects the trust our customers place in our eMaaS platform. At BillionE, we’ve built an ecosystem that combines high-performance electric vehicles, reliable charging infrastructure, and tech-enabled fleet management. As we scale further, our commitment remains the same, to deliver reliable, zero-emission logistics that help our partners achieve both operational and sustainability goals.”

This milestone comes at a pivotal time for the sector. With the Ministry of Heavy Industries recently launching the PM Electric Drive Revolution in Innovative Vehicle Enhancement (PM E-DRIVE) scheme, electric trucks in India are receiving targeted national-level incentives for the first time. A ₹500 crore budget has been allocated to subsidize around 5,500 e-trucks, offering up to ₹9.6 lakh per vehicle based on battery capacity. This is a major step forward in decarbonizing India’s freight sector, one of the country’s fastest-growing sources of emissions. The inclusion of medium- and heavy-duty trucks under the PM E-DRIVE scheme not only addresses long-standing policy gaps but also supports adoption by lowering total cost of ownership, especially in pollution-heavy freight corridors.

The company currently operates over 60+ heavy duty EV trucks, with plans to scale this to 250+ EVs by early 2026. The contracts are structured as end-to-end full-service solutions, bundling vehicles, charging, route engineering, and maintenance support by removing friction points for customers switching from ICE to EV fleets. BillionE’s ecosystem is enabled by CHARGE ZONE, its group-affiliated company, and operates one of India’s largest high-speed EV charging networks. Together, the two companies are electrifying key freight corridors such as Mumbai–Delhi, Delhi–Bengaluru, and Coimbatore–Visakhapatnam, establishing high-power charging infrastructure to support heavy-duty intercity logistics.

“Our mission has always been to make EV adoption seamless for India’s largest logistics and manufacturing players,” said Pirojshaw Sarkari, Advisory Council Lead, Billion Electric Mobility. “Customers no longer want just electric trucks, they want a complete, hassle-free solution that guarantees uptime, energy efficiency, and long-term support. That’s exactly what BillionE delivers through our eMaaS platform. With this milestone, we’re not only proving that electric freight works at scale but also setting the stage for widespread adoption across industries, supply chains, and regions.”

This achievement builds on BillionE’s broader mission of accelerating India’s transition to zero-emission commercial transport. Earlier this year, the company raised $10 million in seed equity and debt funding and is now in the midst of a Pre-Series A round of US$15m of similar nature. BillionE aims to scale up to 5,000 EV trucks by 2029 with an equity ask of Series A round of US$100m by end of 2025 with a vision to become a key enabler in India’s green freight ecosystem through technology, operational excellence, and long-term partnerships.
