At the start of Dragon Ball Super, fans were introduced to the most powerful character in the entirety of Universe 7; Beerus, the God of Destruction. The level of strength that this antagonist had went far beyond anything that fans had seen before, which was on full display in his first fight with Super Saiyan 3 Goku. Despite the Saiyan being arguably the strongest mortal in the universe at the time, he was no match for the Destroyer.
Of course, this was only in the beginning parts of Dragon Ball Super, so fans naturally thought that, with the official start of the new series, the subsequent arcs would eventually show Goku and Vegeta surpass Beerus. However, this still hasn’t happened, as Beerus acts like a moving goalpost to measure everyone’s strength, meaning none are at his level yet. However, many fans believe that there are two Saiyans even stronger than him.

The overall strength of Beerus is something that no mortal has even been able to come close to. Not only is he far stronger than all the mortals that have ever been introduced, but most fans argue that Beerus is the strongest God of Destruction as well, which could be seen when he managed to take on all the other Destroyers in the exhibition match before the start of the Tournament of Power.
This puts him in a different league than just about everyone else. Naturally, due to the competitive nature of the Saiyans, Goku and Vegeta have essentially made Beerus their ultimate goal, in that they wish to become strong enough to compete with this legendary figure. Despite them attaining God Ki and unlocking Divine Transformations to house the techniques of the Angels and Destroyers, it’s heavily implied that neither of them is even close to the level of Beerus, whose true power is yet to be shown.

However, many believe that Vegito and Gogeta would be even stronger than the Destroyer God if they were to be formed today. The main reason for this is that both of these fusions don’t only add the strengths of Goku and Vegeta, but, through their own means, further multiply the resulting power exponentially. This is exacerbated due to the many transformations that they can undergo, which only increase this total strength even more. As if this weren’t enough, both Vegito and Gogeta can now also use God Ki to unlock Super Saiyan Blue.
This is an important note to make, since the series itself implied them to be on a similar level to Beerus when these fusions were first formed in Dragon Ball Super, though it was later retconned. In his fight against Merged Zamasu, Super Saiyan Blue Vegito overpowered the villain, who was established as being one of the most terrifying threats in the franchise. On the other hand, Gogeta didn’t get hurt a single time in his fight against Broly after he unlocked his Super Saiyan Blue state.
While it can be argued that, at the time of their summoning, Vegito and Gogeta still weren’t on the level of Universe 7’s Destroyer God, the discussion regarding them at the current state of the series is entirely different. This is because Goku has unlocked the ultimate defensive technique of the Angels, Ultra Instinct, while Vegeta has unlocked the greatest offensive power of the Gods of Destruction, Ultra Ego.
So, if Goku and Vegeta were to fuse now using these Divine Techniques, they would form the perfect warrior, capable of the greatest offense and defense in the entire multiverse. Not only would this version of Vegito or Gogeta be strong enough to defeat Beerus, but many even think that he could be the only mortal who could even give the Angels of the multiverse a good fight. To top this off, the versions of even base Goku and Vegeta in the modern day are far stronger than even their strongest forms from the past, so the fusion would have that multiplier as well.
What Would This Ultimate Fusion Look Like And How Would It Work?

Fans have been theorizing for quite a while about such a fusion and have taken to naming either possibilities ‘Ultra Vegito’ or ‘Ultra Gogeta’. As stated previously, it would birth the perfect warrior in the Dragon Ball franchise, capable of using the ultimate defense with Ultra Instinct, ensuring that his entire focus would go on his offensive might while his body reacts to incoming attacks on its own. This gives the user a calm and tranquil mind that negates all stray thoughts, letting them focus purely on the battle.
At the same time, he would be able to use Ultra Ego, which dials the user’s offensive instincts up to 11, making them much more ferocious in battle and putting every bit of their soul into the fight. Moreover, this is widely considered the best offensive technique since it allows the user to take damage to make their next attack far more powerful. By making their bodies incredibly durable through mastery of Ultra Ego, they can choose the damage they take in and use it to respond in full force. Moreover, Ultra Ego would even let them use the Energy of Destruction.
