BenQ launches EW2790U and EW3290U 4K Monitors in India

BenQ has introduced two new 4K monitors in India under its latest EW90U Series. This series includes: the EW2790U, which is 27 inches, and the EW3290U, measuring 32 inches. Let’s take a look at their pricing, features, and availability.

BenQ EW2790U and EW3290U 4K Monitors – What Do They Offer?

The BenQ EW90U series monitors boast a 4K UHD resolution of 3840×2160 with an IPS panel. They offer a typical brightness of 350 nits and can peak at 400 nits with HDR10 support. Both models provide a wide viewing angle of 178 degrees and have a response time of 5 ms with a refresh rate of 60 Hz.

In terms of colour accuracy, the EW2790U covers 95% of the DCI-P3 colour gamut, while the EW3290U offers an impressive 98%. BenQ’s exclusive AI Contrast technology smartly adjusts contrast based on the on-screen content, ensuring other parts of the image remain unaffected.

The audio setup differs between the two models. The EW2790U features dual 5W stereo speakers, whereas the EW3290U comes equipped with a more advanced 2.1 channel system that includes a woofer.

Connectivity is robust with three HDMI 2.0 ports and one USB-C port that supports 65W power delivery. There are also three USB-A (USB 3.2 Gen1) ports and one USB-C downstream port, providing ample options for connecting various devices.

BenQ has incorporated several eye care technologies into these monitors to reduce strain during extended use. Features include Flicker-Free technology, Low Blue Light Plus mode, and Brightness Intelligence Plus Gen2. These monitors are TÜV certified for eye comfort.

The power consumption for these monitors varies slightly; the EW2790U typically uses around 25W while the EW3290U consumes about 29W under normal conditions. The dimensions for the EW2790U are approximately between 427–537×614×211 mm with a weight of around 7.7 kg including the stand (5.6 kg without). The larger EW3290U measures about between 484–594×715×211 mm weighing approximately 8.1 kg including its stand (6 kg without).
