The 2017 strategy game 911 Operator is currently free to keep on Steam until October 29. Gamers only have a very limited window to add the Steam game to their libraries, so it’s worth adding before the deal is gone for good.
911 Operator is a game that, according to developer Jutsu Games, is “about the difficult work of people that manage emergency lines and services,” a hybrid of the simulator and strategy genres. Boasting thousands of cities across the world, players must take the calls of individuals in need and respond accordingly. “Sometimes giving first aid instructions is enough, at other times a police, fire department or paramedics’ intervention is a necessity.” It also claims to feature over 50 recorded dialogues inspired by real calls, aiming to be among the most accurate simulator games on the market.
911 Operator is Free to Keep On Steam Until October 29
Gamers can head to Steam right now and grab 911 Operator for free until October 29. There’s no need to install it right away – gamers can simply add it to their account forever and play it later if they want. The giveaway is being hosted to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Jutsu Games, which also went on to release the likes of 112 Operator and Rustler post-911 Operator. At full price, the game usually costs $14.99, so it’s quite a steep saving for this real-life simulator game.
On Steam, 911 Simulator holds “Very Positive” reviews, with 87% of over 5,400 reviews speaking highly of the emergency services strategy simulator title. It may not be a recent Steam release, but with player feedback like that, it has to be worth a try. For the duration of the free promotion, 911 Operator – Complete Edition is also 64% off, bringing it down to $9.56. This includes the Special Resources, Every Life Matters, and Search and Rescue DLC.
Steam has been hosting tons of great freebies of late. Right now, arcade-style sci-fi title Distant Space is also free; that deal is available until October 31. The platform may still struggle in comparison to something like the Epic Games Store when it comes to free promotions, but it’s hard to complain when the games cost absolutely nothing.
