Vivo’s next major flagship might finally be breaking out of China. The Vivo X300 Ultra, part of the company’s photography-focused X300 series, has been spotted in the GSMA IMEI database with the model number V2562 — a clear sign that it’s headed for international markets.

The listing was spotted by Smartprix, marking the strongest hint yet that Vivo’s Ultra-branded phones will soon go global.

Vivo’s Ultra Line Finally Going International

Until now, Vivo’s Ultra phones have stayed exclusive to China, leaving international buyers with the standard or Pro versions. That seems set to change with the X300 Ultra, as the IMEI database listing points to a dedicated global model. If this rollout happens, it’ll put Vivo in direct competition with ultra-premium devices like the Samsung Galaxy S26 Ultra, OPPO Find X9 Ultra, and Xiaomi 17 Ultra.

This move could also signal a strategic shift for Vivo. After years of building credibility in mobile photography, the brand seems ready to expand its high-end offerings beyond Asia and into key markets like India and Europe.

Dual 200MP Cameras Could Reshape Mobile Photography

The X300 Ultra is rumored to come with one of the most advanced camera systems we’ve seen on a smartphone. It reportedly features two 200MP sensors — one for the main wide-angle camera and another for the periscope telephoto lens — alongside a 50MP ultrawide and a 50MP autofocus selfie camera.

The primary 200MP Sony sensor is said to measure roughly 1/1.1-inch and offers a 35mm-equivalent focal length, while the 200MP periscope lens delivers an 85mm equivalent. If accurate, this could allow the X300 Ultra to switch between wide and zoomed-in shots with almost no loss in quality — a rare feat in smartphone photography.

Rather than chasing numbers for the sake of it, Vivo seems focused on bridging the gap between smartphones and compact cameras — something its X-series has gradually moved toward over the years.

Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Android 16 on Board

Performance won’t take a back seat, either. The Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to run on Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip, paired with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. That’s the same software setup seen on the Vivo X300 and X300 Pro, which recently launched in China.

Leaks also point to a 6.8-inch 2K OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, ensuring smooth visuals and vivid color reproduction. While battery specs are still under wraps, Vivo’s reputation for fast charging suggests we can expect something substantial.

    Expected Launch Window

Based on available data, the Vivo X300 Ultra is expected to debut in China in January 2026, followed by a global launch toward the end of Q1 2026.
