Realme’s next flagship might finally have a launch date in India. After its debut in China, the Realme GT 8 Pro is now tipped to arrive in India on November 20, according to industry insider Yogesh Brar and a report from Smartprix.
The launch was earlier rumored for November 11, but that seems to have shifted slightly — possibly to align with Realme’s broader global rollout.

A Busy Month for Flagships
November’s shaping up to be a crowded month for premium phones. The GT 8 Pro will share the stage with the OnePlus 15 and iQOO 15, both running the same Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chip. It’s going to be an interesting battle among brands that all target users who want high-end power without crossing into ultra-premium pricing.
Serious Power and Display Specs
If the China launch was any indication, Realme isn’t cutting corners with the GT 8 Pro. The phone features a 6.79-inch QHD+ OLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate and an eye-searing 7,000 nits peak brightness. It’s powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and paired with up to 16GB of RAM and 1TB of storage.
To help gaming performance, Realme has even added a custom R1 graphics chip. Backing all of that is a 7,000mAh battery, which supports 120W wired and 50W wireless charging. That combo alone could make it one of the most balanced flagships of the year — powerful, fast, and endurance-focused.
A Ricoh-Tuned Camera Setup
The highlight, though, is Realme’s first camera partnership with Ricoh, a brand best known for its GR series of compact cameras. The GT 8 Pro sports a 50MP main sensor with a Ricoh GR anti-glare coating, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and a 200MP Samsung HP5 telephoto lens with 3x optical zoom.
There’s also a Ricoh GR Mode, which mimics Ricoh’s signature 28mm and 40mm focal lengths, giving photos a more natural depth. Realme says it has also worked on Quick Focus Mode and an immersive viewfinder to recreate a point-and-shoot feel, which could appeal to users who prefer realistic tones over heavy post-processing.
Modular Design and Rugged Build
Realme has gone bold with the GT 8 Pro’s design. The phone features a modular camera island with swappable camera deco panels, letting users customize or replace them. It’s a creative touch that brings a bit of personality to the otherwise polished flagship look.
It’s also built tough — the GT 8 Pro carries IP66, IP68, and IP69 certifications
Pricing and Availability in India
In China, the Realme GT 8 Pro starts at CNY 3,999 (around ₹49,400) for the 12GB + 256GB variant. Based on Realme’s past pricing strategy, it’s expected to launch in India at around ₹60,000.
