REPO isn’t just about fighting monsters, it’s about outsmarting them. One way you can do that is by fully understanding how to Tumble. Tumbling is a goofy yet weirdly satisfying mechanic in REPO. At first, it looks like your character is just curling up into a metal ball and hoping for the best, but in reality, tumbling can save your life. Read on to learn how to Tumble and how to use the Tumble Grab and Tumble Climb upgrades to save your life in REPO.
How To Perform a Basic Tumble in REPO

Before you can tumble, you need to make sure your tumble button is properly set. Press the Escape button to open settings and go to Controls. Confirm that Tumble is bound to the Q key. Once that’s done, you’re ready to start rolling.
To perform a basic tumble:
- Sprint forward.
 - Jump (press the Space bar).
 - While in mid-air, press Q to tumble.

Your character will shrink down into a small, round form, basically a head with stubby arms and legs, and quickly roll forward. This simple movement can help you dodge attacks or even deal minor damage to certain enemies if timed right.
Tumbling does not cost stamina, which makes it one of the few reliable movements that you can spam freely.
                        Tumble Grab, Explained

The first new upgrade in REPO’s Monster Update is the Tumble Grab. While in tumble form, you can now grab objects, items, and even weapons. When the red outlines on your screen turn yellow, that means something nearby can be grabbed.
The Tumble Grab is useful in a number of ways. You can grab weapons mid-roll to defend yourself from the enemies. In fact, Tumble Grab can even help you resist attacks like the Mentalist’s levitation.
                        Tumble Climb, Explained

The second major addition is Tumble Climb. Once unlocked, it lets you climb while in tumble form, giving you more control over your condensed little body.
With the Tumble Climb upgrade in REPO, you can crawl up walls, scurry across ceilings, and chain together wall-grabs to travel anywhere in a room. It’s like turning your Semibot into a rolling grappling hook.
However, your stamina determines how long and effectively you can climb. The more stamina you have, the longer you can hang on and scale.
