iQOO 15 Will Get 5 Years of OS Updates

According to a report by Smartprix, the iQOO 15 will receive 5 years of OS updates and 7 years of security support, making it the first smartphone from the brand to offer such long-term software updates. iQOO stated that ”this move was driven by user feedback and the brand’s growing focus on long-term support.”

This would also be an upgrade over its predecessor, the iQOO 13, which offered 4 years of OS updates and 6 years of security patches.

    iQOO 15 Specifications

In terms of specs, the iQOO 15 will have a 6.85-inch Samsung M14 AMOLED display with a resolution of 2K (1,440×3,168 pixels), a screen sampling rate of 130Hz and a refresh rate up to 144Hz. Under the hood, the iQOO 15 will be powered by the Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 processor, paired with up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.

For imaging, there will be a triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP main camera, a 50MP periscope camera, and a 50MP ultra-wide-angle camera. Upfront, it will have a 32MP selfie camera. Moreover, the device will pack a 7,000mAh battery with 100W wired charging and 40W wireless charging. It will also feature an IP68+IP69 rating for dust and water resistance.

On the software front, the iQOO 15 will run Android 16-based OriginOS 6. It’s also expected to be priced at around Rs 60,000 in India. However, there’s no official confirmation regarding the same. Stay tuned to Gizbot for the official iQOO 15 launch in India.
