This functionality is available to everyone, regardless of their phone type, and even works in group chats. Remix uses Nano Banana, Google’s Gemini image generation and editing model. If you’re chatting with another Google Messages user, you can both remix the same image back and forth without leaving the app.

Add Magic with ‘Wicked: For Good’ Theme Packs

The ‘Wicked: For Good’ theme packs bring a magical touch to your Pixel by customizing wallpapers, icons, system sounds, and GIFs inspired by the film. You can choose from three styles — For Good, Glinda, and Elphaba — to give your device a magical feel with just a tap.

Get AI-powered Notification Summaries

Pixel users can now enjoy AI-powered notification summaries that make it easier to keep up with lengthy conversations. This feature provides quick recaps of long texts across chat apps directly in your notification shade.

Pixel’s VIP treatment has been upgraded for your closest friends and family. Message notifications from VIPs are now prioritized to ensure you stay connected throughout the day without missing important messages.

Save Battery with Power Saving Mode

You can extend your battery life while driving using Power Saving mode in Google Maps. By pressing the power button, you’ll see a simplified layout showing only essential information like upcoming turns. This helps conserve battery life by up to four hours while still providing directions for long trips.

Access Call Notes Globally

Some of Pixel’s most useful features are now accessible to more users worldwide. Scam Detection is available for Pixel 9+ users in regions such as the U.K., Ireland, India, Australia, and Canada. This feature uses advanced AI to detect speech patterns commonly used by scammers during phone calls.

Users in additional regions like Australia, Canada, the U.K., Ireland, and Japan can now access Call Notes. This feature employs Gemini Nano on-device technology to record calls, take notes, generate transcripts and summaries, and provide next steps based on conversations. It makes retrieving information easy and actionable.

Moreover, Google Photos now offers personalized edits allowing you to remove sunglasses or fix smiles among other enhancements. The October Pixel Drop brings exciting new functionalities designed to enhance user experience across various aspects of Pixel devices.
