Mysteria Ecclesiae is the third and final major DLC for Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2, and in this expansion, Henry will set foot inside Sedletz Monastery, which was previously inaccessible. With a new part of the map to explore, a deadly disease to combat, and a deeper mystery to figure out, players will be naturally wondering how to start the Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC for KCD2 and whether they need to finish the main story first or even begin a new playthrough entirely.
How To Start The Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC In Kingdom Come: Deliverance 2
Unlike the Brushes with Death DLC, which can be started early on in the game in the Trosky region, Mysteria Ecclesiae takes place entirely in the game’s second map, meaning players must first reach the Kuttenberg area.
Reach The Kuttenberg Map Via The Main Story If You Haven’t Already
To gain access to the Kuttenberg map in KCD2, players will need to complete all of the main story missions in the Trosky region first. The quests to complete are as follows:
After arriving in the Kuttenberg region, there are two more quests to complete before players once again gain access to the open world:
Talk To Peter Of Pisek To Start The DLC
With the DLC owned and installed, players should see a purple shield icon on the map. All purple icons represent DLC, but for Mysteria Ecclesiae, players are looking for the one with a gold cross inside it.
This icon is where Peter of Pisek can be found, and depending on where players are up to in the story, he will either be in his castle at Suchdol or in the Mintmaster’s house in Kuttenberg.
As both of these options are available, players do not need to finish the game, nor do they need to start a new playthrough.
The Royal Physician Quest
Accepting Peter of Pisek’s request will begin The Royal Physician quest, and he will give Henry a Letter of Introduction from Lord Pisek, to hand to Albich of Uniczow, who is found nearby in Kuttenberg. All being well, Henry will then accompany Albich to Sedletz Monastery, where the DLC takes place.
To find Albich, you must first speak to Apothecary Oswald Torwart, as Albich isn’t at his place of residence.
What Do You Need For The Mysteria Ecclesiae DLC?
Unlike the Legacy of the Forge DLC, where players ideally need plenty of Groschen to afford the best forge upgrades, not much is required for Mysteria Ecclesiae. However, as Henry is entering a place of learning and will be assisting with treating the ill, it’s best to level up his Scholarship skill, and having a high Speech stat will also be useful.
Read the corresponding skill books to level up these stats. There is also some stealth and combat.
You will also want to make sure you have no other quests ongoing, as it’s best to stay at the Monastery for the duration of the DLC.
