One of the LEGO sets from the upcoming Pokemon lineup will reportedly retail for $649.99. Believed to be the most expensive set in the first wave of LEGO Pokemon products, it is said to include the three Kanto starters, though in forms that may differ from what early rumors suggested.
The first-ever collaboration between LEGO and Pokemon was originally announced in March 2025. At the time, the Danish toy maker and The Pokemon Company said that the first sets stemming from their partnership will arrive sometime in 2026. While no official updates have been shared since, alleged details about select products have surfaced multiple times throughout the second half of 2025.
Upcoming LEGO Pokemon Set Will Reportedly Cost $650
Continuing the trend, some new information has now been relayed by LEGO leaker brick.tap, who reports that one of the upcoming sets, 72153, will retail for $650 and £580 in the US and UK, respectively. The set is said to be massive, consisting of 6,838 pieces, likely making it the largest in the first wave of LEGO Pokemon releases. While early reports suggested it would feature the three Kanto starters in their Stage 1 forms, brick.tap now indicates the set may include Venusaur, Blastoise, and Charizard instead of Bulbasaur, Squirtle, and Charmander.
72153 is one of the three LEGO Pokemon sets with an 18+ age rating that leaked in August 2025. At the time, LEGO leaker Jedi JAC Penguin alleged this trio would arrive alongside three more sets in early 2026. The leaker later revised their listing to include only five sets, but attached a concrete release date to all of them: March 1. The February 27 date mentioned by brick.tap is believed to be an early access date for members of the LEGO Insiders program. Of the five sets said to be releasing in early 2026, only one is supposedly rated 12+, while the other four reportedly have an 18+ rating.

According to SKU leaks and other unofficial sources, at least 23 Pokemon-themed LEGO sets are currently planned for release in 2026, with 18 reportedly launching on August 1. No official or leaked details about the pricing or sizes of the summer wave have surfaced so far. However, the lineup is said to span a wide range of age ratings, from 6+ to 18+. While age ratings don’t reliably indicate set size on their own, the variety suggests the summer collection may include both smaller and larger sets by piece count.
The 23 leaked sets are expected to mark only the beginning of The Pokemon Company and LEGO’s collaboration, which the two originally announced as a “multi-year partnership.” In related news, the Danish toy maker has lately also been expanding its partnership with Nintendo, a partial owner of The Pokemon Company. Most recently, LEGO revealed a first look at a new The Legend of Zelda set based on Ocarina of Time, which is expected to launch in March 2026.
