Infinix Launches NOTE Edge With a Big Battery in a Slim, Curved Design

Infinix has announced the NOTE Edge for global markets, and the phone is clearly built around two priorities that don’t usually sit together comfortably: long battery life and a slim, curved form factor.

The NOTE Edge also marks a few firsts for the brand, including the debut of a new MediaTek chipset and a high-density battery design. On paper, it looks like Infinix is trying to stretch what’s possible in this price bracket without making the phone feel bulky.

Curved AMOLED Display and Slim Build

The NOTE Edge measures 7.2mm in thickness and weighs 185g, which is relatively slim for a phone with a large battery. The design uses curved edges on both the front and back, giving it a softer, more premium feel compared to flat mid-range phones.

Up front, there’s a 6.78-inch 1.5K curved AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. Infinix claims peak brightness of up to 4,500 nits, along with narrow bezels measuring 1.87mm. The display is protected by Gorilla Glass 7i, and the phone carries an IP65 rating for dust and splash resistance. Audio is handled by dual stereo speakers tuned by JBL.

Dimensity 7100 Makes Its First Appearance

The NOTE Edge is the first smartphone to use the MediaTek Dimensity 7100 chipset. Infinix says the processor scores over 810,000 on AnTuTu V11 and can support high frame rate gaming, including up to 90fps in select titles.

On the connectivity side, the phone includes Infinix’s UPS 3.0 AI signal technology, which is designed to improve reception in weak-signal environments like subways or basements.

A 6,500mAh Battery Without the Bulk

Battery life is one of the main talking points here. The NOTE Edge packs a 6,500mAh battery, the largest Infinix has used so far. The company says advanced battery packaging allows it to fit inside the slim body.

Infinix also claims the battery uses a self-repairing system to slow long-term degradation, with over 80 percent capacity retention after 2,000 charge cycles. Charging is rated at 45W, with the phone said to reach 50 percent in 27 minutes. There’s also 10W reverse charging.

Cameras and Software

The phone features a 50MP rear camera with a custom sensor aimed at better low-light performance, along with a 13MP front camera. Both support 2K video recording at 30fps. New camera features include Live Photo capture and AI-based editing tools.

Software-wise, the NOTE Edge runs XOS 16 based on Android 16. It includes the FOLAX AI assistant and comes with a promise of three Android updates and five years of security patches.
