As Season 2 rolls into its fourth week, a whole host of new challenges arrive for Endgame. One of these challenges is to clear a Toxin Field or Toxin Source five times. How to Clear a Toxin Field in Black Ops 7 Endgame
Toxin Fields are an activity in Endgame that can be found in virtually all zones, trackable via your Tac Map. Once you locate one, simply head to the Toxin Field, which functions much like a Stronghold from Warzone, and interact with the doors to unlock it.
From here, you will need to find and destroy a number of Toxin Blooms, the amount of which varies depending on the zone you are in. Toxin Blooms look like flowers and give off a sound cue when you are near one, making them relatively easy to track down. As you destroy these blooms, enemies will also spawn, so be sure to deal with them.
After destroying all the blooms, an elite enemy will spawn. Defeating this elite enemy will clear the Toxin Field. If you are attempting to complete the “In Endgame: Clear a Toxin Field or Toxin Source 5 Times” Week 4 Challenge, repeating this process four more times is the easiest way to finish it.
How to Clear a Toxin Source in Black Ops 7 Endgame
The Toxin Source is another activity that players can complete, but it can only be found on the island southeast of the Fort within Zone IV, meaning you will need a Combat Rating of at least 45 to survive there. The Toxin Source is similar to the Toxin Field activity, with a few differences. Here is an overview of how to complete it:
- Destroy Toxin Blooms around the island.
- At various stages, Dr. Falkner will appear as different Elite enemies: first as a Doppelghast, second as a Mimic, and third as a Mangler. Defeat each Elite enemy, then return to destroying the Toxin Blooms.
- Once the activity progress bar reaches 100%, head to the helipad to trigger the boss encounter with Dr. Falkner.
From here, you will need to defeat Dr. Falkner in his Disciple form, with Legendary or Exotic weapons being the best way to do so. After defeating him, head to the body on the helipad and interact with it to confirm the kill and escape. Doing so will successfully clear the Toxin Source.
