All Bird Locations in Heartopia
Birdwatching is an exciting hobby in Heartopia. Here’s how you can find all the birds on the island.
Heartopia Rainbow Days, Explained
Rainbow Days are more than just a cosmetic weather change. When a rainbow appears in the sky, you receive a Rainbow Blessing. It is visible on the top corner of your minimap. This blessing increases the quantity of items you collect and improves your chances of catching higher-quality fish. These rare fish directly add more Fishing XP and sell for more gold.
It is a good idea to keep an eye on the Weather tab in Heartopia and plan ahead for the Rainbow event to upgrade your fishing hobby quickly. You can check the weather forecast by accessing your in-game watch.
In addition to some exclusive birds and Insects in Heartopia, Rainbow days also introduce some rare fish species. If you’re going fishing on a Rainbow day, these Rainbow-exclusive fish should be your top priority.
How to Catch Rainbow Fish in Heartopia
Since Rainbow weather can last only a few in-game hours, knowing exactly when it starts and ends can help you make the most of it and catch as many Rainbow fish as you can.
Not all Rainbow Fish spawn everywhere. Some are tied to specific lakes like Meadow Lake or Forest Lake, while others require sea fishing voyages. Before the event starts, decide which fish you’re going to prioritize.
For example, if you’re Level 4 and hunting the Butterfly Koi, you should already be standing at Meadow Lake when the rainbow appears. Higher-level players chasing species like Golden King Crab or Swordfish should prepare for sea fishing instead. The sea fishing event can be started by speaking to Bill at the docks once you reach DG Level 7 in the game. You can start this event using 500 Gold, but if you don’t want to spend your in-game gold, just wait for Bill to start the event himself, as he often offers this opportunity to participate for free.
Many Rainbow Fish have specific spawn windows like Dawn, Dusk, Morning, or Afternoon. If Rainbow weather overlaps with the wrong time block, certain species might not appear.
How to Make the Most of the Rainbow Event in Heartopia
The Rainbow Event in Heartopia is a limited but highly rewarding opportunity. Here’s how to make the most of it.
You can use different buffs to increase your chances of catching Rainbow fish successfully. Fish Attractors help pull in higher rarity species more frequently, while Mermaid Perfume allows you to auto-reel catches, speeding up the entire process. To unlock these fishing supplies, you must level up your fishing hobby. Once you reach the required level, these fishing supplies can be purchased from the fishing mentor, Vanya.
Sometimes, Rainbow Days also overlap with rainy days. This way, you get a double opportunity to catch both Rainbow and Rainy-day exclusive fish. Instead of waiting for separate rain events, you can target multiple species in one highly efficient session. One such example of rainy and rainbow day fish are Mussels, which are one of the Otter’s favorite foods.

It’s also important to understand that Rainbow Days don’t replace the normal fish pool. You can still catch all the standard fish that spawn in each lake, river, or sea during regular Sunny or Rainy weather. The rainbow simply adds bonus species and improves overall quality rates, it doesn’t remove existing ones. So, even if you’re not targeting a specific “Rainbow-exclusive” fish, it’s still worth fishing because your usual catches have a higher chance of appearing in better quality tiers.
