How to Get Protection Against Ice Buildup in Crimson Desert
As players enter colder regions in Crimson Desert, they’ll need to keep an eye on the temperature gauge in the top-right corner of the mini-map. The lower the bar goes, the colder the temperature will get, increasing the intensity of both stamina regeneration and consumption debuffs on Kliff.
Here are some ways players can protect Kliff against Ice buildup in Crimson Desert.
Wear Armor with Ice Resistance
One of the best ways to protect yourself against frost buildup is by wearing armor that offers Ice Resistance in Crimson Desert. At the start of the game, you won’t have many equipment options that offer Ice Resistance, but once you complete a few side quests in Hernand City, you’ll gain enough Contribution Points to afford the Hernandian Noble’s Cloak.
The cloak costs 19 Contribution Points and comes with Ice Resistance level 3, which would go a long way in protecting Kliff in colder regions of the map. You can buy the clock in the Contribution Shop inside the Hernand Castle.
Consume Food or Drinks with Ice Resistance
Another easy way to protect yourself against the Ice debuffs is by stocking up on drinks that offer Ice Resistance. Some of the best drinks that offer Ice Resistance in Crimson Desert are the Beer and Teas (especially the Honey Tea).
These drinks can be purchased from the Inn in Hernand City or any other settlement you visit while progressing through the story.
If you want a more all-in-one solution, you can cook up different soups at any bonfire. The Modest Clear Soup will be the easiest to make at the start of Crimson Desert, as players can get all its ingredients from the Grocer and Meat Shop in Hernand City. The soup will offer Ice Resistance level 2, which may increase if you use a higher-tier soup recipe.
Use Abyss Gears with Ice Resistance
Once you progress further into the game and are looking for more advanced ways to build up protection against frost in Crimson Desert, you can slot Abyss Gears into your armor that offer Ice Resistance. Frostward is one of the Abyss Gears that offer Ice Resistance, and players may get better versions of it to increase the resistance level on it.
