What To Know Before Installing

Beta builds are early versions of the software. They’re mainly meant for developers and users who are comfortable dealing with bugs or incomplete features.

That means you may run into issues with performance, app compatibility, or stability. It’s usually not recommended to install beta software on your primary device unless you’re okay with those trade-offs.

Also, not seeing your phone here doesn’t automatically mean it won’t get Android 17. Stable updates are typically rolled out more widely once the software is finalized.

Android 17 Launch Timeline

So far, Google has released two Android 17 beta builds. The first arrived on February 13, followed by a second beta on February 26.

More beta versions are expected as Google continues refining the update. Based on the current timeline, the stable Android 17 release could arrive around June 2026.

For other brands, the rollout usually takes longer. Phones from manufacturers like Motorola, OnePlus, Oppo, and Realme are likely to receive stable updates later, possibly around the third quarter of 2026.
