OPPO Reno 16 Series Camera Specifications Confirmed Ahead of Next Week’s Launch: MediaTek Chips Expected

Oppo is sharing more information on the Reno16 series as the launch in China approaches. Both Reno16 and Reno16 Pro are already available for pre-order, and the latest reveal focuses on detailed camera hardware for the new smartphones.

Moreover, the OPPO Reno 16 was also spotted on benchmarking platform Geekbench, revealing key details about the handset including its chipset and configuration. Here’s everything we know about the OPPO Reno 16 series.

OPPO Reno 16 Series Cameras

The Reno16 lineup will carry a triple rear camera system led by a 200MP main sensor. This is joined by a 50MP periscope telephoto camera and a 50MP ultrawide lens, while the front houses a 50MP ultrawide selfie camera for wider framed shots.

Oppo has not yet confirmed the exact image sensors, and mentions in teaser fine print that camera components might differ between Reno16 and Reno16 Pro. However, the overall resolution setup is shared, suggesting a similar photography focus across both models.

OPPO Reno 16 Series Key Specifications

An Oppo smartphone carrying the model number PMM-110 has surfaced on Geekbench, and is believed to be the upcoming Reno 16. The listing points to the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 chipset, featuring an octa-core setup with a peak clock speed of 3.40GHz, alongside a Mali-G720 MC8 GPU for graphics.

The handset appears with around 12GB RAM and runs Android 16, likely with ColorOS 16 layered on top. Benchmark scores listed on Geekbench include 1,569 in single-core and 6,226 in multi-core tests, offering an early look at the phone’s expected performance capabilities.

According to recent rumours, the Reno16 Pro is expected to feature a 6.78-inch LTPO display. It is said to use a Dimensity 9500s chipset, include a 7,000mAh battery, and adopt a metal frame design aimed at a more premium build.

The OPPO Reno 16 and Reno 16 Pro are launching in China on May 25 at 06:00 pm local time or 03:30 pm IST. The OPPO Reno 16 series is already up for pre-order in China.
