Xiaomi will add another smartphone in its flagship 17 series in India today. The Xiaomi 17T will debut as the most affordable phone in the line-up and will also mark the return of the ‘T’ series in the country.

To recall, the Xiaomi 17T and 17T Pro were unveiled in Europe last month, although only the vanilla 17T will make its way to India. The Xiaomi 17T features a MediaTek chipset, a triple-camera setup co-developed by Leica, a sizeable silicon carbon battery, and a vibrant 1.5K OLED display.

Xiaomi 17T India Launch: How to Watch the Livestream

The Xiaomi 17T is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following the launch, the Xiaomi 17T will go on sale in India through Amazon and Xiaomi’s official e-store as well as through other offline channels. Additionally, Xiaomi will also unveil the FX Mini LED TV series alongside the 17T.

Those interested in watching the Xiaomi 17T launch live can do so on the company official YouTube channel. We have also embedded the livestream link below for your convenience.

We expect the Xiaomi 17T price in India to start from under Rs 70,000, with a previous leak putting it at Rs 65,999. The Xiaomi 17T fetches a starting price of EUR 749.99 (around Rs. 83,500) globally.

    Xiaomi 17T Specifications

The Xiaomi 17T brings a 6.59-inch AMOLED screen with 1.5K resolution. The panel supports 120Hz refresh rate, HDR10+, Dolby Vision and peak brightness up to 3,500 nits. DC dimming and Xiaomi Vision Care features aim to ease eye strain during long viewing sessions.

The Xiaomi 17T uses the MediaTek Dimensity 8500 Ultra processor for core performance. This chip is paired with 12GB LPDDR5X RAM and up to 512GB UFS 4.1 storage. Xiaomi also equips the phone with a 3D IceLoop cooling system, intended to improve thermal control during demanding tasks and extended gaming.

Camera hardware is central to the Xiaomi 17T package. On the back, the smartphone carries Leica-branded triple cameras. The system includes a 50MP Light Fusion 800 main sensor with OIS, a 12MP ultra-wide unit, and a 50MP periscope telephoto lens supporting 5x optical zoom. A 32MP front camera handles selfies and video calls.

The Xiaomi 17T battery capacity stands at 6,500mAh using a silicon-carbon design. Xiaomi supports 67W fast charging for quicker top ups. Other expected features include HyperOS 3 based on Android 16, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 6.0, NFC, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, an in-display fingerprint sensor and IP68 dust and water resistance.
