If you’ve been jumping through hoops to send files between your OnePlus 15 and an iPhone, that changes now. AirDrop support via Quick Share is rolling out to the OnePlus 15, and it works the way you’d hope: no third-party apps, no cloud links, no workarounds.

OnePlus hasn’t made an official announcement yet, but the rollout has been confirmed by users on the OnePlus community forums and independently verified by Android Authority.

    How It Actually Works

The feature runs through Quick Share, Android’s native file-sharing system. When both devices are set up correctly, the OnePlus 15 shows up in an iPhone’s AirDrop menu just like another Apple device would. On the iPhone side, there’s nothing extra to install or configure. It just appears.

OnePlus 15 Now Supports AirDrop: Here's How to Use It

To get it working, you need to update Quick Share through the Play Store on your OnePlus 15. On the iPhone side, set AirDrop visibility to “Everyone for 10 Minutes.” Once both are set, you can send photos, videos, and files directly between the two devices at full quality.

Not a New Feature, But a Big Deal for OnePlus

This isn’t something OnePlus built from scratch. Google introduced AirDrop compatibility through Quick Share with the Pixel 10 series in late 2025, and it’s been steadily expanding to other Android phones since then. The Galaxy S25 and S26 series both have it, and a number of Pixel devices do too.

The OnePlus 15 is now the latest addition to that list, and it’s a particularly relevant one. Unlike most of the other Android phones that have picked up this feature, the OnePlus 15 is one of the few that’s widely available in the United States, where AirDrop is deeply embedded in how iPhone users share files every day.

    No Major Update Required

One thing worth noting is that this isn’t arriving through a major software update. On other supported devices, AirDrop compatibility has largely come through server-side changes to Quick Share, and the OnePlus 15 rollout appears to be following the same pattern. That means it could show up on your device without you doing anything beyond keeping Quick Share updated.

The rollout does appear to be staged, so not every OnePlus 15 unit will have it immediately. But it’s actively going out now.

Only the OnePlus 15 for Now

If you’re on an older OnePlus device, there’s no confirmation yet that this is coming your way. The OnePlus 15 is currently the only OnePlus phone on the list of supported devices. Older models including the OnePlus 13 aren’t mentioned, and OnePlus hasn’t said anything about expanding support further down the lineup.
