Oppo’s Reno 16 series will launch in India on 2 July, with the company positioning the lineup around cameras, durability and a new magnetic accessory. The series is expected to include the Reno 16 and Reno 16c, while the Oppo Bubble accessory could become one of the more unusual additions to the launch.

The phones will be sold through Amazon India and Oppo’s wider online and offline retail channels. Oppo has already confirmed several hardware details for the Reno 16, but the official India prices will be announced at the launch event. Leaks, however, suggest a noticeable jump over the previous Reno generation.

OPPO Reno 16 Series Pricing in India

According to several reports on X, formerly Twitter, the OPPO Reno 16 price in India will start at Rs 59,999. On the other hand, the OPPO Reno 16c’s price in India could start at Rs 49,999. Finally, the OPPO Reno 16 Pro price in India could start at Rs 69,999, given the Find X9s currently starts at Rs 79,999.

Oppo Reno 16 Pro Specifications

The Oppo Reno 16 Pro features a 6.32-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate in supported games, 10-bit colour, and up to 1,800 nits HBM brightness. It is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 8550 Super chipset, paired with LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 3.1 storage.

The phone packs a 6,000mAh battery with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. Photography is handled by a triple rear camera setup comprising a 200MP primary sensor with 2-axis OIS, a 50MP ultra-wide camera, and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera offering 3.5x optical zoom and OIS. A 50MP autofocus camera is available on the front for selfies and video calls.

Other highlights include ColorOS 16 based on Android 16, stereo speakers, an in-display fingerprint scanner, Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.4, NFC, IR blaster, dual-SIM 5G with eSIM support, an aluminium frame, Crystal Shield protection, and IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings.

The Oppo Reno 16 is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset and is expected to offer up to 12GB RAM and 256GB of storage, although India variants may vary. It sports a 6.32-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.

The smartphone features a triple 50MP rear camera system comprising primary, ultra-wide, and telephoto sensors, with the latter supporting 3.5x optical zoom. All three rear cameras can record 4K HDR videos at 60fps. A 50MP front-facing camera handles selfies and video calls.

Oppo has confirmed IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for enhanced dust and water resistance. While the company has not officially confirmed battery details, leaks suggest the Reno 16 could house a 6,700mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging. The phone is expected to ship with ColorOS based on Android 16 and include several AI-powered camera features.

Oppo Reno 16c Specifications

The Oppo Reno 16c is expected to be the most affordable model in the Reno 16 lineup while retaining several premium features. It is tipped to feature a 6.57-inch AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate and up to 1,400 nits peak brightness.

The smartphone is expected to be powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300-Energy chipset, although Oppo has yet to confirm the processor for India. The Reno 16c could pack a massive 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W fast charging, making it the largest battery in the series.

It is also expected to feature an aluminium frame, Oppo’s AI Snap Key, and IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings for enhanced durability. While the camera specifications remain under wraps, the Reno 16c is expected to deliver a premium software experience with ColorOS based on Android 16 and AI-powered productivity and photography features.

Oppo Bubble Accessory Features

Alongside the phones, Oppo is bringing a magnetic accessory called the Oppo Bubble. It has a 1.73-inch AMOLED display and attaches to the back of compatible Oppo phones. Its main purpose is to act as a wireless viewfinder and remote shutter.

The accessory should let users frame selfies or vlogs using the rear cameras, rather than relying only on the front camera. Oppo says it works over Bluetooth with up to 10 metres of range. The Bubble also has IP54 protection and a 550mAh battery.
