OnePlus is gearing up to unveil a new smartphone series in India today. The OnePlus N6 is expected to debut in India affordable segment. Ahead of the launch, OnePlus has already confirmed several features of the upcoming N6.
The OnePlus N6 will feature a Snapdragon chipset, a high-refresh rate display, a large silicon carbon battery backed by fast charging support, and the segment’s largest VC cooling system.
OnePlus N6 India Launch: What to Expect
The OnePlus N6 is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following its launch, the handset will go on sale in India through Amazon, OnePlus’s website, and offline retail channels. The OnePlus N6 will come in Midnight Green and Fresh Mint shades.
The OnePlus N6 price in India is expected to start from under Rs. 20,000. In India, the OnePlus N6 will compete with the likes of the recently launched Samsung Galaxy M47 5G and the upcoming Nothing Phone (b).
OnePlus N6 Specifications
The OnePlus N6 is tipped to feature a 120Hz display, which should make scrolling, app switching and supported games feel smoother. The leaked configuration mentions 6GB of RAM and 128GB of internal storage, suggesting OnePlus may focus on a single mainstream variant at launch.
For cameras, the phone is expected to include a 50MP primary rear sensor with support for video recording at up to 60fps. An 8MP front camera is likely to handle selfies and video calls. The camera setup appears practical rather than feature-heavy, which is common in this price category.
The biggest talking point is the claimed 8,000mAh battery. If confirmed, it would be among the largest batteries seen on a OnePlus smartphone. The phone is also expected to support 45W fast charging, which should help reduce charging downtime despite the large battery size.
The OnePlus N6 may run Android 16-based OxygenOS 16 out of the box. Other leaked features include a side-mounted fingerprint scanner and a 5,300mm² vapour chamber cooling system, aimed at keeping thermals stable during gaming and extended use.
OnePlus has not confirmed these specifications, so the final details may differ. The launch on June 30 will clarify the phone’s exact price, sale schedule, variants and whether the large battery claim becomes the N6’s main advantage in India’s budget 5G smartphone market.
