Vivo has also introduced the standard X500 in China as the entry point to its new flagship X500 series. The Vivo X500 uses a different chipset from the one seen on the Vivo X500 Pro and Vivo X500 Pro Max.

Vivo X500 Price, Availability and Colours

The Vivo X500 starts at CNY 5,499 (roughly Rs. 79,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. The 12GB + 512GB model is priced at CNY 5,999 (around Rs. 86,000), while the 12GB + 1TB version costs CNY 6,999 (roughly Rs. 1,00,000).

The Vivo X500 will go on sale in China from September 24 through Vivo’s online store. The Vivo X500 is expected to make its debut in India next month.

The smartphone is available in four colour options: Dawn, Echoes of the Earth, Night Photography, and Sunny. The latter names are translated from Chinese and could receive different names in other markets.

Vivo X500 Specifications, Features

The Vivo X500 is a dual-SIM smartphone that runs on Vivo’s Android 17-based OriginOS 7. The handset features a 6.59-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 1,260 x 2,750-pixel resolution. The panel supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate, a 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut, 1.07 billion colours, HDR, and a 300Hz touch sampling rate. It offers a pixel density of 459ppi. Vivo has also given the smartphone IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance.

The Vivo X500 is powered by the 3nm octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 9600M chipset, which has a peak clock speed of up to 4.21GHz. Graphics are handled by an ARM G1 Ultra GPU, while Vivo’s V3+ Blueprint Imaging Chip is responsible for imaging-related processing. The smartphone comes with 12GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and offers up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 internal storage.

The Vivo X500 is equipped with a large 7,500mAh battery and supports 90W wired fast charging and 40W wireless charging. For security, it features an in-display fingerprint sensor.

Cameras

For photography, the Vivo X500 features a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera setup. It comprises a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.68 aperture, a 50-megapixel ultrawide camera with an f/2.0 aperture, and a 64-megapixel periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.55 aperture.

The periscope camera supports up to 3.1x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom. On the front, the phone gets a 50-megapixel selfie camera with an f/2.0 aperture. The rear camera system can record videos at up to 8K resolution at 30fps.

Connectivity options include 5G, 4G LTE, GPS, Wi-Fi 7, Bluetooth 5.4, and a USB Type-C port. The Vivo X500 measures 157.01 x 74.49 x 8.15mm and weighs approximately 213 grams.
