OnePlus appears to be preparing the OnePlus 16 for launch in China next month, and the upcoming flagship has now surfaced on AnTuTu, offering an early look at its performance. The listing comes shortly after OnePlus confirmed the phone’s design and memory configurations, while a Geekbench appearance revealed the Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 chipset.
The OnePlus 16 reportedly scored 5,384,433 points in AnTuTu V12, putting it among the highest-scoring smartphones currently listed on the benchmarking platform.

According to the AnTuTu listing, the OnePlus 16 achieved a CPU score of 1,458,283, while its GPU scored 2,010,584 points. The phone recorded 766,362 points in the memory test and 1,149,204 points in the UX test.
The benchmarked device is reportedly powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Extreme Gen 6 (SM8975) chipset, which is based on a 2nm manufacturing process. The tested configuration includes 16GB of LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage.
The listing also mentions a 185Hz display refresh rate, while the phone is said to run Android 17 with ColorOS 17.

The OnePlus 16 is expected to be available in several RAM and storage configurations. These reportedly include:

However, benchmark scores should be treated as an early indication rather than a guarantee of real-world performance. Final retail software, thermals and sustained workloads can affect how a smartphone performs outside synthetic testing.
OnePlus 16 Specifications: What to Expect
Performance may not be the only major upgrade on the OnePlus 16. Previous leaks have pointed towards a significant camera overhaul, potentially addressing one of the areas where the previous-generation OnePlus 15 received criticism.
The OnePlus 16 is tipped to feature a 200MP primary camera with a 1/1.4-inch sensor, accompanied by a 50MP ultrawide camera and 50MP periscope telephoto camera.
The battery could also receive a substantial upgrade. The phone is reportedly being tested with a 9,000mAh battery, alongside 100W wired charging and 50W wireless charging.
On the front, the OnePlus 16 is expected to feature a 6.78-inch BOE X4 display with a 165Hz system-wide refresh rate. The panel could reportedly support refresh rates of up to 185Hz in compatible games, giving the phone an additional advantage for gaming-focused use.
OnePlus 16 Launch and Availability
The OnePlus 16 is expected to launch in China in October. However, reports about its international availability remain unclear, with some suggesting that OnePlus could limit the phone to the Chinese market.
OnePlus has not officially confirmed the global launch details yet, so its availability outside China will need to be confirmed closer to the launch.
