The Vivo X Fold 6 is reportedly set to launch in India on October 6, following its recent debut in China. According to a new leak, the upcoming book-style foldable will arrive in two RAM and storage configurations and offer two colour options.

The handset will succeed the Vivo X Fold 5, which was launched in India in July 2025. The global launch is tipped to take place on October 1, just five days before its expected India debut. Here’s everything we know about the Vivo X Fold 6’s launch, expected variants and specifications.

Vivo X Fold 6 India Launch Date and Expected Variants

According to tipster Abhishek Yadav’s post on X, the Vivo X Fold 6 will launch in India on October 6 at 12pm. The tipster also claims that the foldable will make its global debut on October 1. Vivo has yet to officially confirm the India launch date.

The leak suggests that the Indian variant of the Vivo X Fold 6 will be available in two configurations: 12GB RAM with 256GB storage and 12GB RAM with 512GB storage. It is tipped to launch in Prism Black and Nebula Teal colour options.

For comparison, the Vivo X Fold 5 arrived in India in a single 16GB RAM and 512GB storage configuration, finished in Titanium Grey. The software could also differ between regional variants. While the Chinese model runs OriginOS 6 Fold, the global version is tipped to ship with the newer OriginOS 7.

Vivo launched the X Fold 6 in China in June, with a starting price of CNY 7,999 (approximately Rs. 1.05 lakh). The company has previously confirmed plans to introduce the foldable in select global markets, but its India launch details are still awaiting official confirmation.

Vivo X Fold 6 Specifications and Features

The Chinese variant of the Vivo X Fold 6 features an 8.02-inch foldable AMOLED inner display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also sports a 6.51-inch AMOLED cover display with the same refresh rate. The handset carries IP58 and IP59 ratings for dust and water resistance.

Under the hood, the foldable is powered by a MediaTek Dimensity 9500 Super chipset, paired with an ARM Mali G1-Ultra GPU. It offers up to 16GB of LPDDR5X Ultra RAM and up to 1TB of UFS 4.1 storage in China.

For photography, the Vivo X Fold 6 features a Zeiss-tuned triple rear camera system. This includes a 200MP primary sensor with an f/1.68 aperture, a 50MP ultra-wide camera with an f/2.05 aperture and a 50MP periscope telephoto camera with an f/2.57 aperture and up to 100x digital zoom. The phone also has two 20MP selfie cameras, one on each display.

The Vivo X Fold 6 packs a 7,000mAh battery with support for 80W wired and 40W wireless charging. It measures 157.16 x 145.66 x 4.40mm when unfolded and 157.16 x 74.26 x 9.40mm when folded, while weighing approximately 228 grams.

The India-specific specifications and pricing remain unconfirmed ahead of the expected October launch.
