A Baldur’s Gate 3 player has mashed up the game with the Batman franchise, creating a faithful version of Harley Quinn as The Dark Urge. The Baldur’s Gate 3 Dark Urge character has already gained plenty of attention for how accurately the player was able to recreate Harley’s appearance.
Baldur’s Gate 3 has seen a ton of unique and clever Tav and Dark Urge designs by players since the game launched in 2023. Fans of the Larian game have done things like made unique versions of Karlach and Lae’zel, turning them into humans, and used the character creator to do things like remake the cast of The Witcher in Baldur’s Gate 3. This time around, a player looked to the Batman series for inspiration.

Harley Quinn Becomes The Dark Urge
A player going by asmyladysuffolksaith on Reddit has shared their version of The Dark Urge in Baldur’s Gate 3, using the character creator and a few mods to create a faithful representation of Harley Quinn. The design looks to be largely based upon her appearance in the Arkham games. The OP shared a couple of different outfits and some cinematic shots of their blonde pigtailed Harley Quinn Dark Urge, including one of her wielding her bat and another of her standing and dancing over some recent carnage she created.
Making Harley Quinn in Baldur’s Gate 3
Plenty of players in the comments have shared their praise for the creation, with many sharing how impressed they are with the accuracy of Harley’s appearance as The Dark Urge. The OP shared some further insight on their creation, explaining that they used five Baldur’s Gate 3 mods, including FacesUnlocked, FearTaylor’s Camp Clothes, Tav’s Hair Salon, Dastardly Accoutrements Rogue Gear, and the Faerun Fashionistas Mega Pose Pack. FacesUnlocked gives players access to character faces that are normally restricted to specific NPCs, and in this case, they used Mystra as the base. The Camp Clothes mod and Rogue Gear give her a more expansive and Harley Quinn-appropriate wardrobe, while Tav’s Hair Salon adds a variety of hairstyles to the game, including the pigtails Harley is using here. The Faerun Fashionistas Mega Pose Pack was utilized for the posed and more cinematic shots in the collection.
For Harley Quinn’s bat, asmyladysuffolksaith used the Club of Hill Giant Strength, though another player recommended the Rat Bat for even more accuracy. The player is currently leveling Harley as a Fighter, and intends to add levels as a Great Old One Warlock in Act 3. Adding on to that, they plan on giving Harley the Clown Hammer, which inflicts hideous laughter on crits, and with the added Great Old One Warlock levels, they’ll also inflict Frightened on surrounding enemies with the same critical strike. While those recreating Harley as seen here can use whatever build they like, giving her something that induces fear and laughter seems accurate to her character.
Larian Studios’ Next Game May See Even More Creative Custom Characters
There’s no doubt that Baldur’s Gate 3 fans have come up with some seriously creative custom characters over the years. Just a few examples include Baldur’s Gate 3 versions of pop star Taylor Swift, League of Legends‘ Jinx, the cast of It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia, and even celebrity chef Gordon Ramsay. Some of these have relied upon mods, like Harley Quinn, while others have made do with the character creator options available to them in the base game. However, while Baldur’s Gate 3 is a well-loved game, its character creator has left something to be desired for some players. The good news is that Larian Studios has gone on record as saying that the character creator in Divinity, its next game, will be better than that of Baldur’s Gate 3, with more colors, options, and control, according to the game’s art director. Time will tell what clever designs players come up with in Divinity.
