BenQ recently dropped four new gaming monit0ors in its MOBIUZ series in India. The line-up includes the BenQ MOBIUZ EX251, EX271, EX271Q, and the top-end EX271U. We’ve been reviewing the mid-range MOBIUZ EX271Q for several weeks now and after thorough testing, here are our thoughts.
Design and Build
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX271Q features a flat 27-inch display with ultra-slim bezels on all four sides, delivering an immersive viewing experience with maximized screen space. It comes with a robust and well-designed stand that supports height, tilt, and swivel adjustments, although it doesn’t offer portrait orientation. Setup is quick and hassle-free, taking just a few seconds to get started.

While the stand’s footprint is slightly large for a 27-inch display, the striking white and black color scheme gives the monitor a sleek, premium appearance. It supports standard 100 x 100 mm VESA mounting, allowing you to replace the default stand with a monitor arm or wall mount if needed.
On the connectivity front, the EX271Q is well-equipped with a 3-pin power connector, dual HDMI 2.0 ports, a DP 1.4 port, two USB Type-A ports, a USB Type-C data port, and a USB-C Power Delivery port that supports up to 65W charging. The monitor ensures seamless connectivity options with DP 1.4, HDMI 2.0, and USB-C ports, allowing users to connect multiple devices effortlessly.

Additionally, the built-in KVM functionality enables swift and convenient switching between connected systems, making it ideal for multitasking setups. Overall, the BenQ MOBIUZ EX271Q offers excellent connectivity options and a premium build that makes it a solid choice for gamers seeking performance and style.
Display
For the display, the MOBIUZ EX271Q uses a 27-inch IPS LED display with a Quad HD resolution (2560×1440 pixels) with a peak HDR brightness of 400 nits. The panel supports HDR and VESA Display HDR400, allowing you to switch between various HDR modes (Cinema HDRi, DisplayHDR, Cinema, Sci-fi HDRi, Realistic HDRi, Fantasy HDRi, Sci-fi, Realistic) on the fly. The anti-glare panel boasts a comfortable 16:9 aspect ratio and excellent viewing angles.

The MOBIUZ EX271Q supports a 180Hz refresh rate through the DisplayPort and a 144Hz refresh rate on HDMI. The screen also boasts a 1ms response time and AMD FreeSync Premium support to minimize screen tearing and stuttering during fast-paced gameplay, ensuring a smooth and responsive experience for competitive gamers.
We tested multiple titles on the MOBIUZ EX271Q, including Call of Duty: Black Ops 6, Marvel Rivals, Overwatch 2, Final Fantasy XVI, EA FC 25, and Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart. Across the board, the monitor handled every game smoothly without any hitches, delivering consistently fluid gameplay. The vibrant IPS panel brought open-world and single-player titles like Final Fantasy XVI and Ratchet & Clank to life, with rich colours and stunning detail that enhanced the cinematic experience.

Overall, the MOBIUZ EX271Q strikes the perfect balance between performance and visual fidelity, making it a solid all-rounder for every kind of gamer.

The MOBIUZ EX271Q is equipped with Brightness Intelligence Plus technology, which automatically adjusts the display brightness and colour temperature to ensure a more comfortable viewing experience. Overall, the MOBIUZ EX271Q strikes a great balance between performance and visual quality, making it an excellent choice for gamers, content consumers, and professionals alike. Whether you’re battling it out in fast-paced shooters, binge-watching HDR content, or working on colour-accurate tasks, this monitor delivers a sharp, immersive, and eye-friendly experience across the board.
Features
The MOBIUZ EX271Q’s main menu can be accessed via two conveniently placed buttons located at the bottom center of the monitor. However, we found the included remote control far more intuitive and user-friendly. It allows you to effortlessly switch between display inputs, colour profiles, HDR modes, and more with just a few clicks.

BenQ MOBIUZ AI Contrast optimizes contrast by zones in real-time, revealing intricate details in dark scenes for balanced visuals. Complemented by Color Vibrance and Light Tuner, gamers can fine-tune preferences to bring vibrant worlds to life. Gamer-Experienced Color, developed through feedback from players, redefines game aesthetics, ensuring each scene showcases stunningly immersive palettes and detailed artistry tailored to diverse preferences.

The remote also provides quick access to features like the Crosshair overlay, FPS counter, KVM switch, OSD settings, and BenQ’s Eye-Care options. In addition to the preset colour and HDR modes, users can fine-tune colour accuracy manually through the Settings menu. This added flexibility makes the overall user experience seamless, whether you’re gaming, working, or watching content.
- Gaming Sessions: Quickly switch to FPS Mode with the remote before jumping into a match of Call of Duty or Overwatch, activate the Crosshair overlay for better aiming precision, and monitor real-time performance with the FPS counter-all without pausing the game.
- Content Creation & Editing: Use the remote to toggle between colour profiles or manually calibrate colours for tasks like photo or video editing in Adobe Photoshop or DaVinci Resolve, ensuring accurate and consistent visuals.
- Binge-Watching or Streaming: Instantly change HDR modes like Cinema HDRi or Realistic HDRi while watching Netflix, Disney+, or YouTube to optimize the picture quality based on the type of content you’re viewing.
- Multitasking with Multiple Devices: Seamlessly switch between a connected laptop and gaming console using the remote’s input selector and manage devices with the KVM switch, ideal for users juggling work and play.
These real-world scenarios show how the monitor’s intuitive controls and versatile settings deliver convenience, performance, and visual quality across different applications.
Pricing
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX271Q price in India is set at Rs 27,500, which is around the same range as similar LG Ultragear, Lenovo Legion, ASUS ROG Strix, and Samsung Odyssey gaming monitors with similar specifications and features.
BenQ Screenbar Halo Light
The BenQ ScreenBar Halo is a refined upgrade to the ScreenBar Plus, offering enhanced workspace lighting without occupying desk space. Like its predecessor, it mounts effortlessly on top of monitors using an adjustable hinge, supporting both flat and curved screens without the need for clamps or adhesives.
A standout feature is the new wireless controller, which replaces the previous wired version with a sleek, aluminium alloy build and intuitive touch interface. It allows easy adjustment of brightness, colour temperature (2700K-6500K), and toggling of the integrated rear ambient light. The bar provides flicker-free, dual-colour LED lighting across a wide 27.5 x 16.5-inch area at 500 Lux and remembers your last setting. While the icons on the controller are initially hard to see due to no backlighting, this becomes less of an issue with use.
Ideal for remote workers or desk setups lacking proper task lighting, the ScreenBar Halo offers a glare-free, space-saving lighting solution.
Verdict
The BenQ MOBIUZ EX271Q is a well-rounded QHD gaming monitor that hits the sweet spot between performance, productivity, and entertainment. It offers a premium set of features including a sharp 27-inch IPS panel, vibrant HDR support, eye-care technologies, customizable colour profiles, and a highly responsive 180Hz refresh rate via DisplayPort.

The inclusion of a remote control, KVM switch, and multiple connectivity options-including USB-C with 65W charging-makes it especially appealing for console gamers and multitaskers who want flexibility without compromising on quality. Whether you’re deep into competitive FPS titles or enjoying a cinematic single-player adventure, the EX271Q handles it all with ease.
At ₹27,500, it’s competitively priced against rivals while delivering excellent value. However, the lack of native Nvidia G-Sync support and a slightly lower refresh rate compared to 240Hz or 360Hz monitors may limit its edge in ultra-competitive multiplayer gaming. Still, for most users, it’s one of the best monitors in its segment.
