An open-world survival game with strong “Grand Theft Cthulhu” vibes called Dead Static Drive is coming to Xbox Game Pass on November 5, 2025. Dead Static Drive is another fresh day one release that Xbox Game Pass will get in November, an already crowded month for the popular subscription service.
Dead Static Drive was originally announced for Xbox Game Pass in 2023, aiming for a 2024 release. However, the title was delayed to 2025 as the developer Reuben Games wanted to give it the necessary level of polish.
When Will Dead Static Drive Come to Xbox Game Pass?

Now, Reuben Games has announced that Dead Static Drive is coming to Xbox Game Pass on November 5, 2025. Dead Static Drive is an open-world survival game set in a nightmare-inspired version of 1980s America. In the game, players will control Hearst, a traveler trying to evade the police and protect others while they look for a violent, paranoid man who’s putting lives at risk. The gameplay will revolve around scavenging items, sneaking, fighting powerful enemies, and exploring the world. According to the creators, Dead Static Drive is inspired by weird fiction authors such as Gene Wolfe, David Lynch, and others.
Unfortunately, Reuben Games did not clarify which Game Pass tiers will get Dead Static Drive as a day one release. However, the title is guaranteed to be in the Ultimate tier and will possibly be available in PC Game Pass or the Premium tier.
November is shaping up to be a good month for Xbox Game Pass subscribers. Among the current Xbox Game Pass day one releases confirmed for November, players can expect titles such as 1000xRESIST, Football Manager 26, Whiskerwood, Voidtraiun, and Winter Burrow. The highlight of the month, however, will obviously be Call of Duty: Black Ops 7, which will be released on November 14 and will likely be featured among the most popular games released in 2025.
Fortunately, 2026 will also be packed with Xbox Game Pass day one releases. At the moment, some of the most eagerly awaited games of the year are Fable, Gears of War: E-Day, Halo: Campaign Evolved, and Forza Horizon 6, but there are over a dozen titles scheduled to become available during 2026. Some of these games include High on Life 2, which will be out on February 13, 2026, as well as other games that still do not have release dates, such as Persona 4: Revival, Planet of Lana 2, Subnautica 2, and a few others.
