Vivo S50 Pro Mini Tipped to Feature Snapdragon 8 Gen 5, May Arrive in India as X300 FE

Vivo’s next compact flagship might be packing more power than expected. According to a new leak from reliable tipster Digital Chat Station (DCS), the upcoming Vivo S50 Pro Mini will launch in November in China and could feature Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset—replacing the previously rumored Dimensity 9400 Plus.

Compact Form, Flagship Performance

The leak suggests that the S50 Pro Mini will include a 6.3-inch flat display with 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate. That keeps the phone in the same compact territory as last year’s S30 Pro Mini, which earned attention for its manageable size and strong display specs.

Digital Chat Station reports that the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 will be built on a 3nm process, featuring a 3.8GHz prime core, 3.32GHz performance cores, and a next-generation Adreno GPU. The chip hasn’t been officially announced by Qualcomm yet, but early indications suggest it’s focused on high performance and better efficiency.

The leak also mentions that the OnePlus Ace 6 Turbo could be the first device in China to debut with the same chip, with Vivo’s S50 Pro Mini expected to follow soon after.

Larger Battery and Camera Upgrades

Another key highlight from DCS is the battery. The S50 Pro Mini is said to pack a larger unit than the Vivo X300’s 6,040mAh cell, which would be impressive for a phone this size.

In terms of optics, the device is rumored to feature a triple rear camera setup, including a periscope telephoto lens, while earlier leaks have hinted at a 50-megapixel front camera for selfies. If accurate, Vivo appears to be positioning this as a compact flagship that doesn’t compromise on imaging.

A Global Version May Arrive as Vivo X300 FE

The same source suggests that the Vivo X300 FE, expected to launch globally next year, could be a rebranded version of the S50 Pro Mini. This wouldn’t be unusual for Vivo, which often rebrands its China-only models for international markets.

Reports hint that the global model could arrive in the first quarter of 2026, making it one of Vivo’s first international phones powered by the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 platform.
