A dedicated fan of Final Fantasy 9 has re-created the capital city of Alexandria in Pokemon Pokopia. The impressive Pokopia build features several recognizable locations from the iconic Square Enix city.
The new Pokemon life simulation game, developed by Omega Force, has already become a fan-favorite following its debut in early March. Pokopia has already seen a plethora of stunning builds from fans looking to re-create some of their favorite real-world and Pokemon locations. Fans have crafted everything from working subway systems and homages to Pokemon‘s past to more unusual creations, like one fan building an Olive Garden restaurant in Pokopia. One inventive fan of Final Fantasy 9 has now re-created one of the Square Enix RPG’s most iconic locations in their Pokopia world.

Pokopia Player Builds Alexandria from Final Fantasy 9
Pokopia player Negi1021 shared their stunning reimagining of the city of Alexandria within the life simulation game on Twitter. The impressive build showcases a sprawling cityscape modeled after the Final Fantasy 9 capital, highlighted by the towering Alexandria Castle at its center. The re-creation of Alexandria includes a nod to the city’s town square with market stalls set up at the center, and multiple windmills on the beaches to power the city. The Pokopia city even includes an impressive airship floating in the western skies above Alexandria, potentially a reference to the Prima Vista.
The stunning Pokopia build captures many recognizable locations from one of the Final Fantasy franchise’s most beloved games. The post makes joking references to the Black Mages, central to the plot of Final Fantasy 9, with other fans making reference to the Black Waltz enemies and main cast member Vivi. Other fans referenced some Pokemon that may fill the same roles as the magic-based Final Fantasy class, suggesting creatures like Umbreon or Mismagius as perfect fits. The user previously shared other impressive Pokopia creations through their Twitter account, including Zelda: Breath of the Wild‘s Temple of Time and Beast’s castle from Beauty and the Beast.
Pokopia‘s litany of tools for players to create their dream villages comes in many forms throughout the game. Pokemon like Drilbur and Wooper grant players different abilities to use around their villages, with Drilbur helping to create farms while Wooper grants the ability to create new water sources. Players looking to undertake bigger building projects can also use powers like Magnemite’s Magnet Rise to place multiple blocks at the same time and Graveler’s Rollout to quickly clear out pathways.

Pokopia fans have been given plenty of new options to decorate their in-game homes and villages following the game’s launch, as well. Omega Force launched Pokopia‘s first event shortly after its launch, with More Spores for Hoppip bringing exclusive floral cosmetics to the game. Pokopia also featured a special event for April Fools’ Day, giving players a special daily mission to complete in order to obtain an inflatable Sudowoodo doll with arms that sway in the wind. Pokopia has continued to inspire fans throughout the first month of its life, while new updates aim to keep fans coming back for many more.
