Yasuhisa Hara’s Kingdom returned with its sixth season in 2025, and once again, it mesmerized the viewers. Studio Pierrot and Studio Signpost obviously deserve a lot of credit for the anime’s positive reception, as they have made sure to deliver an adaptation that is true to the manga. After another enthralling season, it was obvious that the Kingdom would return with another season, and that’s exactly what happened.
Kingdom Season 6 Releases New Trailer
Kingdom Season 6 drops a new trailer ahead of the anime’s release.
Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 Officially Announced
- Kingdom Season 6 has received incredible reviews
- Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 has been confirmed
The sixth season of the Kingdom anime is returning with another part. The official X (formerly Twitter) account associated with the anime called it the sequel to season 6, meaning it will cover the remainder of the arc. Some fans may be upset with the decision, but it’s needed to maintain the quality that Kingdom prides itself on. Except for announcing Kingdom Season 6 Part 2, there have been no other updates regarding the anime, including the release date.
If one were to make an assumption, then it’s possible that Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 will premiere in late 2026. Usually, the official sources share a month if the production is close to completion, but that’s not the case with Kingdom. So, it is quite apparent that the anime won’t release in Winter 2026 or Spring 2026 and maybe even Summer 2026. The likeliest outcome is that Kingdom Season 6 Part 2 will drop in Fall 2026.
Kingdom Season 6 Is An Anime Of The Year Contender
As previously stated, Kingdom Season 6 has earned a lot of plaudits from viewers. The animation and the pacing of the new season have been good, which has earned it a rating of 8.88 on MyAnimeList. Based on the score, Kingdom Season 6 is one of the highest-rated anime of 2025, and thus, deserving of being nominated for Crunchyroll’s Anime of the Year award.
However, Kingdom doesn’t quite have the same level of popularity in the West, so it probably won’t win the award, especially when the likes of My Hero Academia, Solo Leveling, and One Piece will also be nominated. It would be remiss not to mention that the nomination alone will be beneficial, as it would help more people to learn about the series.
Kingdom Is One Of The Most Famous Manga Of All Time
Kingdom is widely believed to be among the best seinen series of all time. The manga itself has sold more than 100 million copies to date, making it one of the best-selling titles ever. In fact, only a handful of series have better numbers than Kingdom.
Unfortunately, fans in the West, especially those who can only read English, were deprived of the masterpiece for years, as there was no publisher who released the manga in the same language. Thankfully, Viz Media fixed the issue in 2025 by releasing the first volume in English. It went on sale on November 11, 2025, and is currently available to buy on all major platforms.
Kingdom Season 6 is available to stream on Crunchyroll.
