Lava is gearing up to launch its next mid-range smartphone, the Lava Agni 4, in India this November. The company’s latest teaser hints at a major design shift, confirming a metal build and polished finishes that move away from the brand’s usual plastic approach.

The Agni 4 will succeed last year’s Agni 3, a phone that stood out for its unique secondary AMOLED screen on the back. But this time, it looks like Lava is focusing more on design refinement, performance, and battery life.
Metal Build Marks a Design Upgrade
Lava’s teaser post on X (formerly Twitter) reads, “Forged from metal—because plastic dreams shatter.” It’s a bold statement, clearly emphasizing the phone’s metallic construction. The teaser image shows a horizontal pill-shaped camera island on the rear and metal-finished buttons on the side, suggesting a more premium design language than previous Agni models.
This would be a first for the Agni series, which has so far relied on plastic frames.
Rumored Specifications and Price
While Lava hasn’t officially shared hardware details yet, earlier leaks give a good sense of what to expect. The Agni 4 is likely to feature a 6.78-inch Full-HD+ display with a 120Hz refresh rate, maintaining the smoothness of the Agni 3’s screen.
Under the hood, it could run on MediaTek’s Dimensity 8350 chipset, a 4nm processor that promises better efficiency and thermal management. The device is also said to include UFS 4.0 storage, a notable upgrade for faster app load times and file transfers.
Battery life appears to be a major focus. Reports suggest the phone could pack a battery exceeding 7,000mAh, which would put it among the highest-capacity phones in its category. Charging details haven’t surfaced yet, but given Lava’s recent trend, support for at least 66W fast charging seems plausible.
As for pricing, the Lava Agni 4 is expected to cost around ₹25,000 in India.
What to Expect from the Agni 4 Launch
If Lava sticks to its usual release cycle, the Agni 4 should launch in early to mid-November, with sales beginning shortly after. The teaser campaign has already begun, suggesting that official specifications and launch event details are just around the corner.
