Lava has launched the Yuva Star 3 in India, aimed squarely at people buying their first smartphone. Priced at ₹7,499, the phone focuses on everyday basics like a big screen, long battery life, and durability, rather than chasing flashy features.

The Yuva Star 3 strengthens Lava’s entry-level lineup and is clearly meant for students, young users, and anyone moving up from a feature phone.

A Big Display for Daily Use

The phone comes with a 6.75-inch HD+ display, which should feel comfortable for watching videos, attending online classes, or scrolling through apps. For first-time users, a larger screen often makes the overall experience feel simpler and less cramped.

Durability Gets Attention

One standout feature at this price is IP64 dust and water resistance. That adds a layer of protection for daily use, especially for users who may not be overly careful with their phones. The device also supports Band 28, which can help with network coverage in certain areas.

Hardware and Software Basics

The Yuva Star 3 runs on an octa-core processor paired with 4GB RAM, with an option to use an additional 4GB as virtual RAM. It comes with 64GB of storage, which should be enough for basic apps, photos, and videos.

On the software side, the phone runs Android 15 Go edition with a clean, bloatware-free interface. Lava seems to be keeping things simple here, which works well for new smartphone users.

The Lava Yuva Star 3 is priced at ₹7,499 for the 4GB RAM and 64GB storage variant. It will be available in Indus Black and Siachen White colours.

Sales are set to begin across retail stores in India from March 2026. Lava is also offering a one-year warranty along with its Free Service@Home support.
