The new LEGO Toy Store (set number 4002025) may be the perfect LEGO set to get fans into the holiday spirit, but unfortunately, only a handful of people in the world will be able to own it. The LEGO Toy Store is this year’s LEGO Employee Gift set, meaning that only those who work for the LEGO Group are given access to the set.
Beginning in 2008, LEGO has gifted its employees an exclusive set every year, often distributing them at the end of the year. As such, many of LEGO’s Employee Gift sets have featured festive theming. 2013’s LEGO Employee Gift set, for instance, was titled “A LEGO Christmas Tale,” and featured small dioramas of Santa’s workshop. Occasionally, these end-of-year LEGO Employee Gift sets have given a beloved IP a festive makeover, such as 2019’s Christmas X-Wing, which gave the iconic Star Wars ship a candy cane color scheme.
LEGO’s 2026 Lord of the Rings Set Is Absolutely Massive, Leak Suggests
A reliable leaker shares some new information about one of LEGO’s rumored Lord of the Rings sets for 2026, which is said to be gigantic.
LEGO’s 2025 Toy Store Set Is Perfect For The Holiday Season, But There’s a Catch
LEGO has given its employees another festive set this year, and it’s arguably one of the best LEGO sets of 2025. Containing a frankly generous 1769 pieces, the 2025 LEGO Toy Store is technically a 2-in-1 set, with it featuring both the titular toy store and a post office/workshop building. These two buildings can either be displayed side-by-side, or back-to-back, with the latter method symbolizing that these two buildings are located in different parts of the world.
Well-known LEGO reviewer Jay’s Brick Blog recently got their hands on the LEGO Toy Store 2025 Employee Gift set, giving fans a better look at the exclusive set’s interior details. While the post office features shelves packed with parcels and letters, the toy store comes with miniature versions of classic LEGO sets, with stickers being used to reference 1960s sets like the 323 Train and the 324 House with Garage. Jay’s Brick Blog review also gives fans a good overview of the LEGO Toy Store’s seven minifigures, which include two elves, a post office worker, the toy store owner, and Santa himself.
Of course, the LEGO Toy Store being an Employee Gift set means that the general public can’t officially purchase the set directly from LEGO. But those desperate to get their hands on the winter village-esque set can attempt to get it from a second-hand marketplace such as Ebay or Bricklink. Currently, the LEGO 4002025 Toy Store is selling for around $200–300 brand new in-box, though the average price of LEGO Toy Store sets actually sold in the last six months on Bricklink is $214.10.
The Most Expensive LEGO Employee Gift Sets
While $200–300 seems a bit steep for a LEGO set containing 1769 pieces, even one that features a charming festive color scheme and seven minifigures, it’s just the tip of the iceberg for these LEGO Employee Gift sets. Here are just a handful of LEGO Employee Gift sets that currently cost more on Bricklink (based on average price of “new” sets sold over the last 6 months) than the new LEGO Toy Store:
- LEGO Christmas X-Wing – $916.24
- LEGO Heart 2008 – $500.00
- LEGO Ole Kirk’s House – $467.06
- LEGO Duck – $261.89
- LEGO The Nutcracker – $259.35
- LEGO HUB Birds – $243.97
Despite being the biggest LEGO Employee Gift set to date, 2025’s LEGO Toy Store isn’t going for nearly as much as the 2019 LEGO Christmas X-Wing, the 2008 LEGO Heart, or 2012’s LEGO Ole Kirk’s House, which are all $450+ due to their rarity. That said, it’s more than possible for this year’s LEGO Toy Store to increase in price over the years, just as each Employee Gift set has before it.
