One LEGO fan has put their skills to the test, building the USS Princeton out of parts from a Millennium Falcon set. The LEGO community is home to many master builders, and some fans like to challenge themselves by repurposing existing sets, as is the case with this Star Wars one.
One of the reasons for the LEGO brand’s incredible popularity is its multitude of partnerships. Over the years, the company has released products based on some of the most popular media franchises of all time, including Star Wars. LEGO fans can purchase sets inspired by different eras from the galaxy far, far away. Unsurprisingly, many of Star Wars‘ most iconic starships have been made into official LEGO sets. In fact, Han Solo’s Millennium Falcon has over 20 LEGO versions, ranging from tiny to massive in scale.

LEGO Fan’s USS Princeton Made Out of Pieces from Star Wars’ Millennium Falcon
Recently, Creation Caravan on Reddit decided to utilize the pieces from one of these Millennium Falcon sets to create the USS Princeton. In a Reddit post, they shared pictures of the repurposed set next to the box for the Millennium Falcon (model 75375). Impressively, the builder was able to use the set’s 921 pieces to transform the starship into a seafaring vessel. For context, the USS Princeton is a Ticonderoga-class guided missile cruiser in the US Navy. As seen in the pictures, Creation Caravan managed to accurately replicate the look of the warship, despite the self-imposed limitations.
When posting the final result on Reddit, numerous fans applauded the design. With over 2.9K upvotes, fans appreciated the challenge of making the USS Princeton out of parts from a completely different set. While the ship had the same gray colors as the Millennium Falcon, the builder had to make everything from its guns to the radar system. It is worth noting that this is not the first time that Creation Caravan has repurposed LEGO sets. They regularly share alternate builds made from existing Star Wars sets. For example, one of their recent projects transformed the Venator-Class Attack Cruiser set into the USS Enterprise 1701-A from Star Trek. They have even gone the other way, using non-Star Wars sets to make designs based on the franchise, as seen in the Millennium Falcon made from a LEGO Lightning McQueen model.
These unique builds are another reminder of what is possible when creative LEGO fans set their minds to it. Beyond Creation Caravan’s projects, many other fans have shared designs online for others to be inspired by. While some of these are based on popular franchises like Star Wars, others recreate real-world places. This was seen recently when a couple of brothers built a 17,000-piece LEGO replica of a family home.
Given the popularity of LEGO, many more inspiring custom creations will likely be shared in the coming months. Fortunately, new LEGO sets continue to be released, giving creative builders like Creation Caravan more options when choosing to make alternate sets. Among the new products coming soon, there are several options for Star Wars fans to consider. Specifically, Darth Vader’s TIE Fighter, Luke’s Red Five X-wing, and Throne Room Duel & A-wing are all scheduled to drop on March 1, offering original trilogy sets at several different price points.

In addition, new leaks have suggested that Star Wars fans could have lots more to look forward to in the summer. Three LEGO sets themed around The Mandalorian and Grogu movie are potentially coming, and more sets are likely to be announced in the coming months. Hopefully, some of these leaked products will be what LEGO builders have been hoping for.
