This article contains spoilers from One Piece’s Elbaf Arc.
One Piece is currently in the Final Saga, and at this point in the story, Oda is trying his best to wrap up Luffy’s adventure as fast as he possibly can, all the while maintaining a coherent and strong storyline. As such, by this point, it is expected of Luffy to be at the peak of his powers, along with the rest of the Straw Hats as well. Luffy’s journey to Laugh Tale is slowly but steadily reaching its end, which means that by this time he must be near the peak of his powers and, at the same time, must have established many powerful allies as well.
Say Hello To The Next Commander Of The Straw Hat Grand Fleet
The Straw Hat Grand Fleet could be getting a Commander. This Commander is on a whole other level in One Piece.
Initially, it felt like the true goal of One Piece was for Luffy to find the grand treasure left behind by Roger, but with time, it became clear that this was only part of Luffy’s goal. While he may not intend to do it on purpose, Luffy will have to liberate the world from the clutches of the World Government, and that is what the final phase of the story has set up. That said, Luffy cannot do it alone, and he needs powerful allies by his side. While he has already established some very mighty alliances and even has a powerful Grand Fleet under him, fans know that it is not enough. Luffy’s next ally is already clear, and it is none other than Loki, the Accursed Prince of Elbaf. It goes without saying that he is a threat that goes even beyond Yonko level.
Luffy’s Pirate Alliance Has Grown Tremendously In One Piece
- Luffy established the Straw Hat Grand Fleet in Dressrosa
- Luffy has multiple powerful countries under his banner
When it comes to surviving the toughest of seas in the One Piece world that is the New World, there are only two ways to survive:
1. The first is to simply submit to the stronger pirates that exist there and live under their protection. Countless powerful individuals who have lived in the One Piece world do this. The prime example of this would be the likes of Basil Hawkins in the Wano Arc, who submitted to Kaido. Even the likes of Apoo submitted to Kaido because they knew that they did not have it in them to defeat these monsters. At the same time, some others try to work their way into the ranks of the Yonko and then take them down from the inside, such as Capone Gang Bege.
Wave this flag proudly, and nobody will dare to mess with you. You’re my friends after all! — Luffy to Momonosuke
2. The second way to survive in the New World is to simply go up against these powerful monsters and then destroy them in battle. This is the path that Luffy has taken in the New World, and it requires him to establish a powerful dominance in this particular ocean where the toughest rule. Luffy has already defeated Kaido, and that is one of the reasons why he has now established himself as one of the Four Emperors of the Sea. Just by defeating Kaido, Luffy could not have risen to this position. It is the fact that Luffy also commands a very powerful alliance that he is a strong emperor.
As is quite clear, Luffy is allied to multiple countries already and has even taken Fishman Island under his protection. He has a powerful Grand Fleet with nearly 5,400 powerful individuals, and now, he has even added Wano Country to his territories. Luffy’s alliance is continuously growing, but the biggest of allies has not joined yet. The Final Saga of One Piece will give Luffy the strongest and mightiest of alliance that is the alliance with the Giants of Elbaf.
Loki is Luffy’s New Yonko Level Ally
- Loki’s powers may go beyond the level of the average Yonko
Quite clearly, Luffy is very powerful already, but in order to surpass all the other Yonko and reach the next step, he has to forge even stronger alliances. That is where Loki comes in, and Oda has already established him to be one of the mightiest forces on the seas. Loki is a monster unlike any other, and his strength has been established to be on the level of the Yonko, if not even greater.
I am the Sun God that’ll destroy the world! — Loki to Luffy
One Piece: Oda Reveals Two New Potential Straw Hats Stronger than Both Zoro and Sanji
Zoro and Sanji are strong, but they aren’t as strong as these two new potential Straw Hat pirates in One Piece.
In fact, the mighty warrior is already working together with Luffy, and quite clearly, the two will fight side by side in order to liberate Elbaf from the control of Imu and the World Government come the end of this battle. It goes without saying that Loki will find it in his heart to side with Luffy in the battles to come against the World Government, especially since both of them have a similar goal, and on top of that, Luffy is the Sun God Nika, whom Loki cherishes and aspires to be like.
Loki’s Power Are Comparable To Luffy’s
When it comes to Loki’s overall powers, fans have only seen glimpses so far, but it has already been established in the narrative that Loki is a Yonko-level monster, if not even beyond. First things first, Loki has the power of Ragnir, which is the legendary hammer of Elbaf that only the worthy can wield. Other than Loki, no individual known in history, not even King Harald, has been able to wield it. Ragnir on its own is a weapon that can rival the likes of the Yonko of the One Piece world. In fact, Ragnir’s strength was great enough to repel the likes of King Harald and many powerful warriors that came before him. Even Loki, with all his might, was not able to easily defeat Ragnir, and it required his full power Conqueror’s Haki blast to knock it down. Even then, Ragnir managed to break Loki’s hammer into smithereens.

Ragnir aside, Loki’s biggest strength is his legendary Devil Fruit. This legendary Devil Fruit has been kept safe in Elbaf for centuries, and only after Ragnir’s acknowledgment did Loki manage to eat it. These two things combined have pushed Loki to an insanely high level of strength, and it’s stated that Loki is strong enough to destroy the entire world. At this point in time, his strength is far above the likes of the average Yonko, and that makes him a majestic warrior.
Luffy’s Allies Will Keep Growing In The Final Saga
- Luffy will make more alliances in the New World
Loki aligning with Luffy will grant the Straw Hat captain the biggest boost that he could possibly have asked for. It must be remembered that, previously, Big Mom stated that if her marriage alliance with Loki had worked, she would have easily been able to defeat the likes of Shanks and even Whitebeard. In other words, this alliance that has just been forged in the Elbaf arc is so great that Luffy is now the frontrunner for the title of Pirate King, and it will go on to reshape his entire journey from here onwards.
It is highly likely that Loki will end up joining the Straw Hat Pirates at the end of the Elbaf arc. However, even if he doesn’t, fans know for a fact that Loki is Luffy’s ally and will continue to aid him from here onwards. In that sense, it goes without saying that Loki has essentially clinched the title of Pirate King for Luffy by making him the strongest force on the seas — one that only the World Government can rival.
