OnePlus has begun rolling out the stable OxygenOS 16 update for the OnePlus 13 and 13s. The OnePlus 13 is receiving version CPH2649_16.0.0.210 (EX01), while the OnePlus 13s gets CPH2723_16.0.0.211 (EX01). The power-saving mode now includes tiered performance management that adapts to battery levels, ensuring longer usage with smooth performance. This allows users to enjoy extended device operation without compromising on functionality.
Mind Space and AI Features
The update adds a voice memory feature where pressing and holding the Plus Key records thoughts into Mind Space efficiently. Screenshot thumbnails can be saved instantly with a tap due to Plus integration with Mind Space.
Mind Assistant on the Mind Space home page allows users to search saved content with options like favoriting and copying. Mind Space also suggests collections for quicker browsing of content.
AI-Driven Enhancements
A visual update for Photos offers an immersive browsing experience with clearer categories and personalized sorting for frequently used albums. Checking photo details is simplified by swiping up for information on storage location.
New video editing features include splitting, merging, adjusting playback speed, transitions, and block editing mode for efficient batch formatting of text, images, tables, or documents.
User Interface Improvements
The Recorder app has been redesigned with a refreshed interface for intuitive interactions. AI-driven noise cancellation enhances recordings by reducing background noise while highlighting human voices.
An AI Writer feature assists users in generating text throughout the system, helping bring ideas to life effortlessly.
The Home screen is now cleaner with an optimized grid layout making icons, folders, and widgets tidier than before. Users can drag to resize icons and add app shortcuts for a more personalized Home screen setup.
