OnePlus has launched two new smartphones in China, and they’re doing something very clear with them. The OnePlus Turbo 6 and OnePlus Turbo 6V both focus heavily on battery capacity and durability, while splitting performance across two different price tiers.

OnePlus Turbo 6 And Turbo 6V Price In China

The OnePlus Turbo 6 starts at CNY 2,099 (around Rs. 27,000) for the 12GB RAM + 256GB storage variant. Higher configurations go up to CNY 2,899 (around Rs. 37,000) for the 16GB + 512GB model. Colour options include Light Chaser Silver, Lone Black, and Wild Green.

The OnePlus Turbo 6V is positioned lower. It starts at CNY 1,699 (around Rs. 21,000) for the 8GB + 256GB variant. Prices go up to CNY 2,199 (around Rs. 28,000) for the 12GB + 512GB version. It’s available in Fearless Blue, Lone Black, and Nova White.

    Chipsets And Performance Split

OnePlus has drawn a clear line between the two phones.

The Turbo 6 runs on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4, placing it closer to upper mid-range performance territory. The Turbo 6V uses the Snapdragon 7s Gen 4, aimed at users who don’t need flagship-level power but still want modern hardware.

Both phones support up to 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage, depending on the variant.

    Display And Software Basics

Both models ship with Android 16-based ColorOS 16 out of the box. They feature a 6.78-inch full-HD+ flexible AMOLED display with refresh rates going up to 165Hz on the Turbo 6. Peak brightness is rated at 1,800 nits, and both panels support wide colour coverage.

    Cameras Keep Things Simple

Camera hardware is identical on both phones. You get a 50MP main camera paired with a 2MP monochrome sensor on the back, and a 16MP front camera. This looks like a practical setup rather than a camera-focused one.

Battery And Durability Take Center Stage

The headline feature on both phones is the 9,000mAh battery, paired with 80W SuperVOOC fast charging. That’s unusually large even by current standards.

OnePlus has also gone all-in on durability. Both the Turbo 6 and Turbo 6V carry IP66, IP68, IP69, and IP69K ratings, covering everything from dust protection to high-pressure water exposure.

    What To Take Away

With the Turbo 6 series, OnePlus seems to be prioritizing endurance and toughness over slim designs or camera upgrades. The Turbo 6 is for users who want stronger performance, while the Turbo 6V keeps the same battery and durability at a lower price.

There’s no word yet on launches outside China.
