POCO M8 5G Launch and Pricing in India

The POCO M8 5G is launching in India at 12 pm (IST) today. Following the launch, the POCO M8 5G will go on sale in India through Flipkart. We expect the POCO M8 5G price in India to start from under Rs 15,000 with offers.

    POCO M8 5G Specifications

The updated microsite confirms three colour variants for India. Buyers will get Carbon Black, Glacial Blue, and Frost Silver options. The handset will use a Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset with 8GB of RAM. It will run Xiaomi’s HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15, out of the box.

The Poco M8 5G will feature a 6.77-inch 3D Curved Display with slim bezels. The panel supports up to 120Hz refresh rate and 1080 x 2392-pixel resolution. Poco states peak brightness reaches up to 3,200 nits. The screen will also cover 100 percent DCI-P3 colour gamut for richer shades.

Audio is a major part of the package. The smartphone includes a dual speaker arrangement with Dolby Atmos. Poco also highlights a claimed 300 percent volume boost mode. This setting is aimed at better outdoor listening, where ambient noise levels are higher than indoors.

Poco confirms a 5,520mAh silicon carbon battery inside the Poco M8 5G. The phone supports 45W wired fast charging, along with 18W reverse charging. According to the company, the battery is designed for long screen time. It is also meant to support heavy data use on 5G networks.

POCO M8 5G Launching in India Today: What to Expect

The firm claims the handset can last up to 1.6 days on “moderate use”. Poco adds that users may get more than 25 hours of Instagram scrolling and over 19 hours of YouTube video playback. The brand also mentions more than nine hours of Battlegrounds Mobile India gaming and over 10 hours of Google Maps navigation.

POCO M8 5G Camera and Software

On the camera front, Poco has already shared several details. The Poco M8 5G will carry a 50-megapixel dual rear camera setup. The main rear sensor has an f/1.8 aperture. On the front, the phone will come with a 20-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.

Video capture on the Poco M8 5G will go up to 4K resolution. Camera software features include 2x in-sensor zoom and Live Photo support. The company also teases AI Magic Eraser Pro, AI Sky Replacement, and AI Reflection Removal. These tools are intended to help users fine-tune images directly on the device.

Software support is another focus area. Poco says the M8 5G will receive four years of Android upgrades. The device will also get six years of security updates. The phone carries an IP66 rating as well for resistance against dust and strong water jets, within testing limits.
